Abstract

PURPOSE: To relatively simply catch a generating condition of static electricity, by such method that a generating quantity of static electricity in the equipment be obtained on the basis of measurement of a level of drift charge in the insulating fluid made from a fluid directly or indirectly extracted to outside the equipment.
CONSTITUTION: With an oil pick-up valve 6 actuated, a fluid is processed sampling from outlet port of an oil pump 5. The fluid, made sampling, flows into a container 10 through a valve 8, where specific resistance or dielectric loss factor of the fluid is measured by a sensor 11, and then drifting in a measuring unit 9. In the container 10, a residual charge, existent in the fluid, is moderated and dissipated before flowing into the measuring unit 9, with a so called pretreatment operated for a measurement of level of the drift charge. If the fluid moves drifting in the measuring unit 9, static electricity is generated in the measuring unit 9, with a signal, that indicates its level, obtained, and its analysis can provide a generating quantity of static electricity in a transformer main unit 1.
