Abstract

PURPOSE: In consturcting four columns of a shaft furnace, to provide a method comprising the steps of forming four colums in the length of the operating floor unit, fixing the same by a floor plate, fitting handrails and the like at preselected positions to form blocks, and laminating fixing said blocks on and to each other, thereby constructing the four columns in a short period of time and easily.
CONSTITUTION: Perpendicularity (centering) and level degree (leveling) of each of four columns are sought beforehand, and four columns are formed into blocks on the temporary assembled stage 4 in each floor unit of the operation floor unit of the shaft furnace. The length of each of four columns 6 is formed in each operation floor unit of the shaft furnace, and columns are fixed by a floor plate 8 provided with an open hole 7 penetrating through a shaft furnace shell.
