Abstract

CONSTITUTION: In this seal apparatus, the seal member S is composed of a metal seal piece 13 and an elastic piece 14 while it is formed straight lengthwise. On the other hand, a circular arc-shaped groove 15 is formed on the inner wall of a bottom ring 3 so as to house the seal member S while a straight groove is formed on a seat liner 7 so as to house the metal seal piece 13. With the base side thereof, namely, a part of the elastic body 14 and the metal seal piece 13 arranged in the arc groove 15 and the head side thereof, namely, the metal seal piece 13 in the straight groove 16, the seal member S is mounted to the bottom ring 3 with a seal keep plate 17 and about 18.
