Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the processing speed of fixed data remarkably by setting the fixed data on ROM, outputting them to the port and entering them to the general register through the port.
CONSTITUTION: ROM 12 equipped in CPU 11 of a microcomputer attaches program region 12a where control programs required for the information processing are stored and region 12b where fixed data required for the information processing have previously been stored. A control program in region 12a is read and decoded in the instruction register of control part 13 in CPU and the required control is performed; moreover, the program stores data in the general register 14 equipped in CPU and executes various kinds of processing by the use of the data. Moreover, CPU 11 can read out the fixed data in region 12b to output port 15 and the data which are supplied from port 15 to input port 16 through connection line 17 are entered to general register by the program.
