Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the stability of DC output voltage and to reduce the loss, by varying the current of reactor circuit in ferro-resonance AC constant voltage equipment thereby controlling the output voltage.
CONSTITUTION: AC source voltage is stabilized through ferro-resonance AC constant voltage equipment 9 and taken out through rectifier circuit 10 as DC output voltage, then the difference between said DC output voltage and the referential voltage is amplified by differential amplifier 11 and applied on phase control circuit 12. Then pulse is generated to phase control the thyristors 28, 29 connected to reactor winding mounted on ferro-resonance transformer for ferro-resonance AC constant voltage equipment 9 thus to control the firing of thyristors 28, 29 and to control the current in reactor circuit for ferro-resonance transformer to maintain the output voltage constant. With such manner highly stable DC voltage is obtained with low loss even for large current capacity.
