Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently execute the scraping and exhausting operations of floated scum by a skewer for scraping the scum by protruding the skewer in shallow manner at the position far from the scum exhaust and in deep manner at the position near the exhaust.
CONSTITUTION: Floc or the like adhered with bubbles in a separator chamber 4 is floated to become scum, which is scraped by a skewer 12 to a scum exhaust section 10 and is then exhausted at an outlet 11. The scum is generated substantially uniformly over the entire zone of the chamber 4. The skewer 12 is so provided as to be oblique toward the end side from the start end side. Accordingly, the blade 14 is protruded in shallow manner at the position far from the exhaust 10 and gradually in deep manner thereafter. It initially scrapes small amount of scum and then increase the scraping volume as proceeding to uniformly scrape the scum at the respective sections so as to exhaust it at the section 10. This can prevent the residue and accumulation of the scum due to partial scraping insufficiency so as to efficiently remove the scum.
