Abstract
PURPOSE: To properly effect the preheat with the use of plugs by detecting the voltage of a battery of a diesel engine with the use of a detecting circuit so as to elongate the power supply time to the plugs when the voltage drop is high.
CONSTITUTION: Glow plugs 6 to 9 are connected with a battery 1 through a key switch 3 and a switch contact 4. The common contact of the start contact and ON contact of the key switch 3 is connected with a preheating voltage detecting circuit A and a temperature holding voltage detecting circuit B, both of which are connected with a drive circuit C through a indicating lamp 11. With the use of these two circuits A and B, the voltage drop of the battery 1 is compared with a reference value, and the resultant signals are fed to the circuit C so that the contact 4 is rendered condeuctive through a relay coil 10 for a corresponding time. In this meanwhile, the lamp 11 accomplishes its indicating operation
