Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce pressure loss with thin thickness of end plug supporting hole plate and joint rib which support fuel rod, increasing the flow area of coolant of the upper tie plate.
CONSTITUTION: Semicircle recess 9 is provided for rectangular steel plate, forming end plug supporting plate 6 by providing groove 12 for flat section 11 located between recess 9, forming holding plate 7 by providing comb shape groove 13 for the other rectangular steel plate. Two units are overlapped to face recess section 9 of end plug supporting plate 6, fitting groove 13 of supporting plate 7 with groove 12 of end plug supporting plate 6 by assembling supporting plate 7, and comprizing cylinder section 20 by closely securing flat section 11. They are arranged in lattice shape, assembling the thin plate within frame body 8 forming in square cross section cylinder shape corresponding to channel shape, and constituting top tie plate. Those tie plate 3 allows the coolant flow area to increase and pressure loss to reduce since the plate thickness of rib and end plug support plate 6 is made thin
