Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the nitrogen oxide highly effectively and ecconomically by forming an introduction pipe for an injection agent to reduce the nitrogen oxide in such a manner that the pipe is bent within an exhausting duct and equilibrating the injection agent and the combustion gas so as to result in a gaseous phase. CONSTITUTION:An injection agent for reducing and decomposing a nitrogen oxide, for example, an ammonia aqueous solution as a reducing agent and a hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution 7 which lowers the reducing reaction temperature are passed through introduction pipes 2, 3 which are bent reversely within an exhausting duct, pre-heated by means of the exhaust gas so as to make a change from a liquid phase to a gaseous phase and uniformly injected into the burnt exhaust gas from nozzles 4, 5 when equilibrated with the exhaust gas temperature, so as to reduce and decompose the nitrogen oxide. By this constitution, the heat transfer area is increased and an effect is obtained to render uniform the outlet condition of all the injection nozzles without employing complex heat exchanger or cooling means or the like.
