Abstract

PURPOSE: To allow a temperature of a fuel improving catalyst to rise rapidly and to enable the supply of a steady heat source.
CONSTITUTION: A catalyst chamber 3 filled with a catalyst 31 is located around a sub-combustion chamber 2, and an improved fuel supply port 4, which is opened and closed by means of a valve, is placed at an upper part of the sub-combustion chamber, and an ignition plug 7 is situated at an opposite end part to a main combustion chamber 6. The whole device 1 constituted in such a manner as mentioned above is screwedly located above the main combustion chamber 6. The inside of a catalyst chamber 3, which is arranged so as to sorround the circumference of the sub-combustion chamber 2, is partitioned by a spiral partition plate 32 with an aim to increase a heat transfer and a gas contact area. A slight space, which is provided at a lower part of the catalyst chamber 3, serves as a fuel distribution chamber 8.
