Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the crack of terminal assemblies provided with a detecting means for detecting the current supply condition of supply current remotely by coating linear conductive coatings near the areas where the occurrence of cracking of the terminal assembly is anticipated.
CONSTITUTION: If a crack 12 occurs near the metal buried part owing to exertion of force and advances in the outside edge direction and further if the crack 12 advances up to the central position of the outer edge, the conductive coating 5 having beforehand been coated is broken at the same instant of the crack of the insulator. This enables a crack detecting circuit to rapidly detect the occurrence of a crack in the terminal assembly 3 because the conductive coating 5 is broken and a lamp 9 goes OFF.
