Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the temperature and humidity in a room stably by causing air to spout from the periphery of an exhaust hood facing a heat source placed in the room to be air-conditioned, in such a manner as to form an air curtain and treat the influence of the heat source locally.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust hood is so placed as to face a heat source arranged in a room to be air-conditioned. The outside air fed from an air feed duct 11 of the hood is directed through a wind amount adjusting damper 12 and a chamber 6 and made to spout from a spout port 9 to form an air curtain which covers the heat source. The lower portion of the hood main body 1 is shielded from the interior of the room. The internal hot air and the return air from the air curtain are directed through an exhaust port 2 and discharged into the exterior from an exhaust duct 3 to treat the hot air locally. Conditioning air in the interior of the room is not discharged with the hot air from the heat source, so that the influence to the interior of the room is reduced and air conditioning load is reduced.
