Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain a signal charge read of high quality at a pickup tube, by composing a charge storage tube of a photoconductive surface and a porous secondary- electron radiation surface and by reading a signal through high-speed beam scanning.
CONSTITUTION: On mesa film 2 as a signal electrode adhered onto surface plate 1 and photoconductive layer 3, porous layer 5 is adhered; secondary electrons are emitted from beam scanning surface 4 of photoconductive layer 3 through the striking of fast electron beams 7 and return to beam scanning surface 4 which becomes positive in potential through the striking of scanning electron beams 7, or secondary electrons 9 are emitted through the striking of scanning electron beams 7 inside of porous layer 5, so that electrons will stick to porous-layer formation material 8 which has been charged positively.
