Abstract
PURPOSE: An agricultural and horticultural microbicide non-phyto-toxic to plants, low-toxic to man, beast and fish, and effective to rice blast, helminthosporium leaf spot, powdery mildew of cucumber, etc., containing a pyrazolylpyrimidine derivative as an effective component.
CONSTITUTION: The title microbicide containing a pyrazolylpyrimidine derivative of the formula (R1 is methyl, phenyl; R2 is H; R1 and R2 may together form a carbon ring; R3 is Cl, SH, phenoxy, 4-chlorophenoxy, phenyltio, lower alkylamino, 3,5- dimethyl-1-pyrazolyl, hydrazino), e.g. 2-(3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazolyl)-6-methyl-4- phenoxy-pyrimidine. It can be applied to the leaf and stalk, the surface of paddy rice field, the surface of soil or in the soil. when applied in a liquid form, it is pref. diluted to an effective concentration of 1.0W1000 ppm.
