Abstract
PURPOSE: Additives melting at high temperatures are heated along with other additives to form eutectic mixtures with a eutectic point lower than the melting point of the polyolefin and the resulting eutectic mixtures are added to the polyolefin to disperse uniformly in the resin and exhibit the sufficient effect of the additives.
CONSTITUTION: An organic crystalline additive for synthetic resin that melts at a temperature higher than the usual kneading temperature of a polyolefin, usually of 2 - 8C α-olefin, preferably over 150°C, e.g., Cyasorb 1084 made by American Cyanamide Co.is heated along with a usual heat stabilizer for synthtic resin that can form an eutectic mixture having an eutectic point lower than the melting point of the polyolefin at 80 - 250°C to form a eutectic mixture. After cooled, the resulting eutectic mixture is kneaded with a plyolefin.
EFFECT: Said eutectic mixture permits kneading below the melting point to prevent the deterioration and troubles caused by ununiform dispersion of the additives.
