Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an incombustible elastomer produced by using an inorganic material. SOLUTION: This incombustible elastomer can be produced by adding an NCO-terminated prepolymer derived from various isocyanates and a polyethylene glycol ether as a crosslinking agent to an aqueous solution containing 100 pts.of water and <=80 pts. of a material selected from various incombustible inorganic materials having affinity to hydroxyl group (the solution may further contain <=50 pts. of magnesium hydroxide for the adjustment of hardness) and promoting the reaction by stirring the mixture to effect the formation of a chemical bond between the hydroxyl group in the aqueous solution of the inorganic material and the NCO group of the prepolymer.

橋剤としての機能を発揮するものを選ぶため、NCO末
端のプレポリマーを利用した。

産出来る。 (5)本発明のエラストマー製品は防音、防振動効果が
抜群に良好である。 (6)本発明のエラストマー製品は厚み自在のシート状
に量産出来る。 (7)本発明のエラストマー製品は形状自在のモールド
状に量産出来る。

から水酸基と馴染みやすいものを選び80部以下の任意
の量を含有させた水溶液に(硬度調整のため50部以下
の水酸化マグネシウムを必要に応じて混入)、架橋剤と
して各種イソシアネートとポリエチレングリコールエー
テルによるNCO基末端のプレポリマーを入れて混合攪
拌させ反応を促進させると、無機物水溶液に含まれる水
酸基がプレポリマーのNCO基と化学結合をして得られ
た無臭性の不燃性エラストマー。
