[0003] The applicant also has a flexible reclining mechanism that can be attached to a predetermined position of a shield so as to cover a reclining mechanism that supports the seat back at the rear end of the seat cushion so as to be able to tilt back and forth, as shown in FIG. Of the cover member, in which a notch 22 for guiding the upper arm 21 of the reclining mechanism back and forth is formed at the upper part of the cover member main body 20 and has been developed and put into practical use. However, in the configuration shown in FIG. 5, when the upper arm 21 is tilted back and forth, the contact portion that contacts the upper arm is largely bent downward,
There is a problem that a gap is generated and internal parts of the reclining mechanism are exposed, so that the appearance is significantly deteriorated. In addition, there is a problem that the repetition of large bending deteriorates the cover member and loses durability.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. The drawings show a case where the present invention is applied to a front seat of an automobile,
As shown in FIG. 4, a reclining mechanism that supports the seat back 2 so as to be able to tilt back and forth is mounted on the rear end of the seat cushion 1, and a lower portion of the seat back 2 and the reclining mechanism are covered by a shield 3. The points are basically the same as the conventional seat structure.

In the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, a cover member of a flexible reclining mechanism made of, for example, soft vinyl chloride is attached to a predetermined position of the shield 3. This cover member is provided with a connecting leg 4 a for connecting the cover member body 4 to the shield 3.
A notch 6 long in the front-rear direction for guiding the upper arm 5 of the reclining mechanism is formed in an upper cover extending from the upper end to one side.
When the seat back is tilted forward to the upper surface of the front portion of the notch edge, that is, the upper surface of the portion extending from the front end edge of the notch portion 6 to the front bending portion, the contact portion always faces upward when the upper arm 5 contacts the notch edge. The rib 7 is formed so as to be bent. In addition, even when the rib 7 tilts the seat back to the rear side and comes into contact with the upper arm 5,
In the same manner as described above, the contact portion is always bent upward so as to be formed on the upper surface of the portion extending from the rear end edge of the notch 6 to the rear bent portion, or one of the front and rear portions or according to the design conditions. Of course, both may be formed.

When such a rib 7 is formed, the reason why the contact portion with the upper arm 5 always bends upward is that the contact portion is bent downward because the notch edge is reinforced by the rib 7 on the upper surface. In addition, the upper arm 5 comes into surface contact with a wide portion by the height of the rib 7, and this planar contact portion acts to be pushed up with the rotation of the upper arm 5. It seems to bend upward. As shown in FIG. 1, the cover member is attached only by heat caulking to a predetermined position of the shield 3 with the attachment hole 8 provided in the connecting leg 4a of the cover member main body 4, and the attachment work is performed. Is very easy.

With the above-described structure, the reclining mechanism that supports the seat back 2 so as to be able to tilt back and forth is completely covered by the cover member, and exhibits excellent appearance quality without exposing internal parts and the like. And also
Even when the reclining mechanism is actuated, the upper arm 5 reliably prevents the upper cover portion of the cover member body 4 from being constantly bent upward to form a gap, and the internal parts of the reclining mechanism are exposed. In particular, since a downward unreasonable deformation is prevented from occurring in the contact portion with the upper arm 5 as in the related art, excellent durability is imparted to the cover member.

As is clear from the above description, the present invention can prevent the occurrence of a gap even when the reclining mechanism is operated, and can prevent the internal parts of the reclining mechanism from being exposed without exposing them. Can be improved,
In addition, even when the seat back is tilted back and forth, it is possible to prevent the downward deformation of the contact portion with the upper arm, thereby exhibiting excellent durability.
Therefore, the present invention greatly contributes to industrial development as a cover member of a reclining mechanism that has eliminated the conventional problems.
