A non-conductive casing is formed of a first casing and a second casing having a recess for holding a substrate, and a conductive layer is extended in the recess for holding the substrate of the first casing. A ground pattern is provided in a portion of the substrate that comes into contact with the conductive layer, and the substrate is sandwiched between the first housing and the second housing, thereby forming the conductive layer and the ground pattern. 9. The portable telephone according to claim 1, wherein the portable telephone is electrically connected to the portable telephone.
