[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a method for knitting a flat knitted fabric, and more specifically, an individual actuator is provided for each knitting needle, and the individual actuators are activated based on a predetermined plan. This invention relates to a knitting method that suppresses lifting of silk fabric and ensures stitch formation when knitting a flat knitted fabric using a V-bed flat knitting machine that causes the knitting needles to perform a predetermined IT movement by operating the machine.

Modern flat knitting machines are required to increase productivity, so there is a tendency to increase the knitting speed. However, in bed horizontal knitting machines, sufficient pulling down must be achieved in the gap between needle beds, that is, the gap between the tips of the needle beds. Must be.

However, in the knitting movement, many problems are built into the process of the first needle rising. In other words, there is a phenomenon in which the stitches are also pulled as the needle rises. This is particularly noticeable at both ends of the knitting width, and in extreme cases, the loops of the raised stitches cannot be completely removed from the collar, resulting in multiple tuck knitting, and the silk material eventually accumulates in the gap between the stitches, resulting in insufficient knitting. Sometimes it becomes impossible. To avoid this problem, methods such as increasing the pull-down force of the knitted fabric are taken, but increasing the pull-down force may affect the stitch count or cause contraction of the knitted fabric in the width direction during knitting. Since an appropriate pulling force is not applied to both ends of the fabric, problems such as the above-mentioned lifting of the knitted fabric are likely to occur, especially in high-speed knitting. To solve this problem, flat knitting machines that use a carriage use a push-down device that is moved together with the carriage and enters the gap of the flat knitting machine, or use a swingable sinker to form a bridge that covers the gap of the gap. A cam was installed on the carriage to control the movement.

On the other hand, there are many ways to increase productivity by knitting with multiple yarn feeds using multiple cams. However, even in this method, there is a limit to the number of cams. In other words, the width of the carriage increases, and when considering the space for folding, the width of the flat knitting machine itself also increases, resulting in poor space efficiency. In addition, as mentioned above, flat knitting machines equipped with a push-down device or a device that swings the sinker require the same number of auxiliary devices as the number of cams, and all of these devices are added to the carriage, which increases the weight of the carriage. This will increase further and become a negative effect of speeding up. Not only this, but the structure of the carriage became complicated and the number of parts increased, resulting in increased costs, which became a major obstacle to the high productivity of flat knitting machines.

In other words, ■ When performing single-sided knitting on a bed flat knitting machine, note that there are opposing needles that do not contribute at all to the needles that are making a certain movement, and At a directional position, for example, a rubber encounter position, before the knitting needle starts its upward movement, the opposed needle is operated to a position where the tip of the opposed needle suppresses sinker loops located on both sides of the knitting needle. It has been found that this can prevent the old loops of the knitting needles from lifting up due to upward movement.

FIG. 1 is a diagram schematically showing the movement of knitting needles and opposing needles of a V-bed flat knitting machine during single-sided knitting. Symbol ■ is knitting needle bed,
The symbol ■ indicates the movement of the needle on the opposing needle bed. First, the knitting needles start an upward movement from the rest position and rise to point a. At this time, the stitches applied to the knitting needles cross over while opening the bellows. Return to point b and wait for yarn to be supplied from the yarn feeder. Then it drops to 0 point. At this time, the hour hand draws in a new stitch,
Also, the old stitch on the needle goes over the bellow while closing it. Then, it rises to point d and completes the knitting movement.

The movements of the knitting needles and opposing needles will be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 6, which are sectional views of both needle beds corresponding to symbols A to E. In FIG. 2, stitches 5 are knitted on the knitting needles 3 on the knitting needle bed 1, and the opposing needles 4 on the opposing needle bed 2 are in the rest position.

FIG. 3 shows that the opposed needle 4 has risen to the canine tooth 9 on the side of the knitting needle 3, and the hook 12 of the opposed needle 4 covers the gap between the needles. Subsequently, FIG. 4 shows how the knitting needles 3 perform an upward movement and rise to the uppermost position point a. At this time, the stitch 5 on the knitting needle 3 is pulled by the knitting needle 3 and tries to rise, but the sinker loop 10 is connected to the hook 1 of the opposing needle 4.
Since it is restricted to 2, it will not be able to rise above the tooth opening. Generally, the movement of the silk fabric as it tends to rise is most noticeable at both ends of the knitting width. This is because one side of the stitches on the knitting needles is free at both ends, so it is more likely to be pulled than the center. The present invention is effective because the inner sinker loops are pressed at both ends as well. In FIG. 5, the knitting needle 3 returns to the yarn feeding position shown in FIG. At this time, it is important that the opposing needle, which is closer to the yarn feeder, is reliably returned to its original position. Otherwise, the yarn from the yarn feeder will get caught on the opposing needle 4.
The desired organization cannot be realized. In Figure 6, knitting needle 3
shows that a new stitch 5' has been completed and the opposite needle 4 is still at the rest position d.

When we experimented with jersey knitting with 220 stitches using the timing shown in Figure 1, we found that when nothing was done (breather foot etc. were not used), the yarn feeding speed was 1.0.
m/S (pull-down force 11 kg) was the upper limit for knitting without lifting, but as a result of using the method of the present invention, knitting was possible up to a yarn feeding speed of 1.7 m/s (pull-down force 2 kg).

The above is an explanation of the timing of the rise and fall of the knitting needles and opposing needles corresponding to symbols A-E shown in FIG. 1, but each needle needs to be in a position where they do not interfere with each other during the upward movement. (2) A bed flat knitting machine is equipped with a swinging device (not shown) that supports and allows one of the two needle beds to swing in the left-right direction in order to perform a stitch transfer operation.

Furthermore, the present invention can be applied not only to knitting described above but also to knitting by tucks, and the operation and timing of the opposing needles are no different from knitting. Figures 7 and 8 show an example of the upward movement of the knitting needles 3 during tacking.
This figure shows how the knitting needle 3 holding the tuck loop and the new loop performs an upward movement for the next knit.

Furthermore, FIG. 9 shows how new yarn is fed to the knitting needles 3, and corresponds to FIG. 5 described above. Such tuck knitting is often used especially for pattern knitted fabrics, and recently multiple tuck knitting has been used, which makes it difficult to pull down and tends to float up. However, according to the method of the present invention, the opposed needles 4 can prevent floating.

FIG. 11 shows the upward movement of the knitting needles during the stitch transfer operation, and corresponds to the above-mentioned FIG. 4. At this time, the position of the opposing needles in the left-right direction is not at the stitch transfer meeting position, but at a position where the knitting needles and the opposing needles do not interfere, as shown in FIG. ,
When the knitting needles complete their upward movement (in this case up to the vicinity of the slats), the opposing needles retract. Then the 12th
The figure shows a normal stitch transfer operation in which the counter needle moves the knitting needle's stitches at the wing part, the catch rises to take it, and the hook part of the counter needle is inserted into the gap between the wing and the knitting needle. At this time,
The left and right positions of the opposing needles have been repositioned to the stitch transfer meeting position as shown in FIG. At this time, it is important to note that it is necessary to perform the racking operation (movement of moving the opposing needle bed from side to side) after the opposing needle is completely pulled back.
