It is known that if there is another paper feed section that is currently being used, the copying operation is automatically switched to this paper feed section to continue copying, thereby improving the efficiency of copying.

Therefore, there has been an inconvenience that only one copy fewer than the number of copies required by the user can be made.

いという不都合さがあつた。 This situation will be explained with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 is a simplified diagram of the roll paper feed section, in which a paper non-detector 2 is provided near the paper feed roll 1, and a paper size detector 4 is provided in the guide section downstream of the conveying roller 3. There is.
Further, 5 is a cutter for cutting the paper P into a predetermined length. In the roll paper feed section configured in this way, assuming that only the length of paper P remains l1 , even if the desired length is longer than this l1 ,
If there is paper in front of the paper-free detector 2, the paper-free detector 2 will not output a paper-free signal. Therefore, there may be cases where the paper is shorter than the desired size in a situation where there is almost no paper left, and what is more, if a paper no detection signal is generated, only paper of a size shorter than the desired size is sent to the paper feed roll 1. It is normal for there to be no remaining. In order to prevent this, the distance l2 from the post-cut leading edge position to the paper non-detector 2 may be made longer than the maximum copy length that the copying machine is capable of. However, in reality, a copying machine capable of A1 size requires 841 mm, and in order to do so, the conveyance path from cutter 5 to paper feed roll 1 becomes longer, and in the end, the only option is to make the paper feed section larger. It was an inconvenience.

The object of the present invention is to provide a feeding sheet number correcting device. Note that the expression that the number of copies to be made when no paper is detected is at least less than the set number is based on the assumption that even in the above-mentioned state where there is almost no paper left, depending on the desired size, only a smaller number of copies can be made. In such a case, the paper non-detection signal will cause not one but two sheets to be detected.
All you have to do is set the number of sheets higher than the set number.

Each detection signal from the size detectors 4a, 4b, and 4c is taken into a controller 6, which is made up of, for example, a CPU, and this controller 6 is configured to select the upper, middle, and lower stages. A paper feed roll selection signal 7 is also input. and,
The signals from the paper non-detectors 1a, 1b, and 1c are also input to the copy number correction circuit 8, and the copy number correction circuit 8 and the controller 6 can exchange signals with each other. It's summery. Further, setting information from a copy number setting key 9 is input to the copy number correction circuit 8. The output side from the controller 6 is paper feed signals 10, 11, and 12 for each of the upper, middle, and lower stages, and a paper cut signal is also output.

タ8aの内容を+1とするものである。 FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing a first embodiment of the copy number correction circuit 8. When copying, the operator first sets the number of copies needed using the number setting key 9. This value is stored in the set number of sheets register 8a. Then, each time a sheet is fed, a signal is input to a copy number counter 8b which adds up the number of copies together with a signal for cutting the roll paper. When the contents of the set number of copies register 8a and the number of copies counter 8b are equal, the controller 6 outputs a feeding stop signal.
If a paper non-detection signal is output from the paper non-detector 2 during copying, and if the paper being fed has exceeded the minimum length that can be conveyed, a cut signal will be issued and the paper will be cut at the same time. The copy number counter 8b also counts up one copy. However, as described above, since this last cut sheet is shorter than the desired size, the +1 circuit 8c is provided to correct this so that it is excluded from the set number of sheets. That is, as is clear from the block diagram, when a paper non-detection signal is input from the paper non-detector 1 to the controller 6, the controller 6 sends an operation signal to the +1 circuit 8c, which operates the +1 circuit 8c to perform the setting. The contents of the sheet number register 8a are set to +1.

Therefore, the next original copy cycle includes means for reversely correcting the number of copies so that the number of copies becomes the set number.

In contrast to the correction control in which the number of sheets is increased by 1, in the second embodiment, control is performed so that the sheets being fed when no paper is detected are not counted from the beginning. That is, a copy number counter circuit 8d is provided, and the signal from the copy number counter circuit 8d is sent to the copy number counter 8.
b. In this circuit, during normal copying, the count-up signal enters the copy number counter 8b, as in the first embodiment, and passes the copy number non-count circuit 8d.
When the paper-absence detector 2 detects no paper, an operation signal is input from the controller 6 to the copy number counting circuit 8d, which is activated. This non-count signal is input to the copy number counter 8b, and cancels the count-up signal when no paper is detected. In this way, since sheets that have become incomplete size copies are not counted, the operator can obtain as many full size copies as required, as in the first embodiment.

る。 As described above, the present invention is a roll feed system in which when no paper is detected, the size of the paper being fed tends to be shorter than the desired size (and in some cases, the paper one sheet before it). In a paper device, when a paper non-detection signal is output during multi-sheet copy settings, especially when automatically switching to another paper source, at least the paper at which paper is not detected should be removed from the set number of sheets. This is what I did. Therefore, if the length of the last paper in the roll paper feed unit where paper is detected to be out of paper matches the length of the other copy paper being copied, extra copies will be made; If the length of the copy paper is shorter than the length of other copy paper (in some cases, there may be copy paper with missing images), the operator (user) can make the copy paper with the shorter size. This has the effect of freeing you from the trouble of having to remove it and copy it again.
