PURPOSE:To obtain an ID discriminating device capable of collating fingerprints and an ID number with an ID card by providing a fingerprints reading part on the ID card and a storing part storing fingerprint data in advance and executing fingerprint collation based on the fingerprint data. CONSTITUTION:When an ID card 1 is held and inserted into a card reader 2, the ID number of the card 1 is read by the reader 2 and the ID number is collated. When a collation result is NO, the lighting of the NG light of the reader 2 is controlled. Besides, fingerprints are read by an image sensor 11 of the card 1 when the card is held, a feature parameter is extracted by a feature parameter extracting device 13 and collated with the feature parameter stored in advance by a one chip CPU 14.
