記テープ走行制御手段によりテープを走行させた後、記
録を再開することを特徴とする磁気記録再生装置。
a tape loading means for pulling out a magnetic tape from a cassette having a reel around which the magnetic tape is wound and winding it around a cylinder having a rotating head; a driving means for driving the reel in the traveling direction of the magnetic tape and the opposite direction thereof; a speed control means for recording and reproducing a speed control signal on a magnetic tape; and a tape travel control means capable of controlling the tape to travel in a traveling direction and in a direction opposite to the traveling direction using a signal obtained by reproducing the tape speed control signal. When the tape is temporarily stopped with the tape wound around the cylinder and then recording is continued, the recording end position before the temporary stop is changed once to the vicinity of the supply reel by the driving means after the temporary stop. In response to a release command to cancel the pause mode, the tape is run by the tape running control means until the tape position on the take-up reel side contacts the rotating head slightly from the recording end position before the pause mode, and then recording is started.
