Claims (1)

【特許請求の範囲】  車両のルーフに固定された左右一対の平行なキャリア
フレームに両端部を交差させて連結されるキャリアバー
と、キャリアフレームとキャリアバーとの交差部を連結
するクランプとを有し、クランプは、キャリアバーの端
部が挿通する連結孔を有しかつキャリアフレームに一方
から当接する挾持部を有する本体と、本体に挿通される
締付ボルトと、締付ボルトに螺合しキャリアフレームに
他方から当接して押圧する傾斜面を有しかつキャリアバ
ーの端部を押圧する押圧面を有したウェッジ部材と、本
体に装着されたロック装置と、ロック装置のキーシリン
ダに結合されて本体内で回動自在なレバーとを含み、 締付ボルトによる締め込みでキャリアフレームが本体側
の挾持部とウェッジ部材側の傾斜面とにより挾持される
と共に、キャリアバーは端部が連結孔内でウェッジ部材
の押圧面により押圧されて固定され、ロック装置をロッ
ク位置に操作したときレバーが回動して締付ボルトを操
作不能に閉鎖し、ロック装置のアンロック位置では締付
ボルトの操作可能位置にレバーが回動することを特徴と
する車両用ルーフキャリア。
[Scope of Claims] A carrier bar that is connected to a pair of left and right parallel carrier frames fixed to the roof of a vehicle with both ends crossing each other, and a clamp that connects the intersection of the carrier frame and the carrier bar. The clamp has a main body having a connecting hole through which the end of the carrier bar is inserted and a clamping part that abuts the carrier frame from one side, a tightening bolt that is inserted through the main body, and a clamp that is screwed onto the tightening bolt. A wedge member having an inclined surface that abuts and presses the carrier frame from the other side and a pressing surface that presses the end of the carrier bar, a locking device attached to the main body, and a wedge member coupled to a key cylinder of the locking device. When the tightening bolt is tightened, the carrier frame is held between the holding part on the main body side and the inclined surface on the wedge member side, and the end of the carrier bar is connected to the connecting hole. When the locking device is operated to the locked position, the lever rotates and closes the tightening bolt so that it cannot be operated, and when the locking device is in the unlocked position, the tightening bolt is locked. A vehicle roof carrier characterized by a lever that rotates to an operable position.
