Abstract
Description
[産業上の利用分野】
この発明は、例えば物体の角度や位置などを自動制御す
るサーボ機構の主構成要素として用いられるもので,入
力信号と出力信号との間の偏差を検出する偏差検出用電
気機器のうち、電気抵抗形検出要素の代表例である回転
形ポテンショメータ装置に関するものである.
[従来の技術]
第6図は従来の回転形ポテンショメータ装置の一例畳示
す外観正面図である.同図において,(1) .(3)
は入力端子、(2)は出力端子,(0は出力を制御する
シャフ}.(5)はこれらを収納するケースである.
上記のような従来の一連式の回転形ポテンショメータ装
置は、一般に左回し方向、右回し方向ともにストツパが
内装されており、360°にわたるエンドレス回転は不
可能に構成されている.また、ストツパを除去してエン
ドレス回転を可能にしたものも知られているけれども,
このエンドレス回転式のものにおいても、木来,ストツ
パにより回転を阻止する領域に、抵抗値の不連続領域や
開放領域を形成している.
つぎに,上記構成の動作について説明する.回転形ポテ
ンショメータ装置における抵抗線の両端に入力電圧を印
加し、シャフト(0を介して内部のブラシを回転制御す
ることにより出力端子(2)に出力電圧が得られる.第
7図はその出力の電気的特性図であり,同図から明らか
なように,上記不連続領域や開放領域、つまり,ブラシ
の回転角(θ)が3606やO0の債域は不感帯であり
,出力信号の連続性が得られないため,ボリュームを操
作した情報が出力に現われない.[発明が解決しようと
する課題]
従来の回転形ポテンショメータ装置は以上のように構成
されているので,不感帯において回転角度情報の出力が
得られないので,制御の連続性を得ることができず,そ
の結果,良好な操作性および制御性を発揮できないとい
う問題があった.この発明は上記のような問題点を解消
するためになされたもので、回転角度情報をエンドレス
に出力することが可能で、連続制御により制御精度を著
しく向上することができる回転形ポテンショメータ装置
を提供することを目的とする.[課題を解決するための
手段]
この発明に係る回転形ポテンショメータ装置は,2連の
ポテンショメータをそれぞれの出力の不感帯が相互に重
なり合わない位相差をもたせて同一の制御軸上に配設し
、これら両ポテンショメータそれぞれの出力状態に応じ
て、2つの出力のいずれを選択するかを判断して回転角
度情報を出力するように構成したことを特徴とする.[
作用]
この発明によれば,2連のポテンショメータから互いに
位相差のある2相の出力が得られ,これら2相の出力の
値を監視しつつ、両出力信号を選択的に処理することに
より,電気的回転角度情報をエンドレスに出力すること
ができる.[発明の実施例]
以下,この発明の一実施例を図面にもとづいて説明する
.
第1図はこの発明の一実施例による回転形ポテンショメ
ータ装置の外観正面図、第2図はその平面図であり,同
図において、(PMI) . (PM2)は上下段に同
軸上に配置された2連のポテンショメータである.
(1).(3)は上段のポテンショメータ(P旧)の入
力端子. (4).(8)は下段のポテンショメータ(
PM2)の入力端子,(2)は上段のポテンショメータ
(PMI)の出力端子,(5)は下段のポテンショメー
タ(PM2)の出力端子であり,それぞれの出力は不感
帯が相互に重なり合わない180’の位相差ヲもってい
る.(7)は2連のポテンショメータ(P旧) , (
PM2)の出力を制御する共通のシャフト、(8)はこ
れらを収納するケース,(9)は出力を処理する出力信
号処理部である.
第3図は上記構成の回転形ポテンショメータ装置の内部
構成図であり,同図において、(VRI)は上段のポテ
ンショメータ(PMI)を構成する可変抵抗器であり、
抵抗線(lO)とそれに摺接させたブラシ(l2)とか
らなる.(VR2)は下段のポテンショメータ(PM2
)を構成する可変抵抗器であり、抵抗線(tBとそれに
摺接させたブラシ(13)とからなる.
上記両可変抵抗!l(VRI) . (VR2)はそれ
ぞれの出力の不感帯が重なり合わないように、180’
の位相差を有している.
つぎに,上記構成の動作について説明する.上記2つの
可変抵抗器(VRI) . (VR2)の入力端子(1
),(3)および(4).(8)に入力電圧を加えたと
き、それぞれの出力端子(2)および(5)に得られる
出力電圧は第4図の電気的特性図に示すとおりである.
このような回転形ポテンショメータ装置を使用して、電
気的回転角度情報をエンドレスに出力する時に,上記両
可変抵抗器(VRI) . (VR2)の両偵を処理す
る出力信号処理部(9)におけるプログラムのフローチ
ャートを以下に説明する.このプログラムは第5図のフ
ローチャートに示すように、常に可変抵抗器(VRI)
, (VR2)の両アナログ値を監視し、出力信号の
連続性を得るために,第4図に示す出力特性における垂
直部(V)および不感帯部(K)を避けるように,出力
に上限値(WAX) ,下限値(MIN)を設けている
.一方の可変抵抗器(VRI)の出力で回転角度情報を
出力し,この出力の値{VRI(n)}が上限値(WA
X)以上または下限値(WIN)以下となったときは,
他方の可変抵抗器(VR2)からの出力の値(VR2(
n))を回転角度情報として出力する.また,出力の値
が変化しない時や両値が急変した時は、可変抵抗器(V
RI) , (VR2)が回転操作されなかったと判断
して前回の値( VR1a(n) 1または(VR2a
(n)}を出力する.
なお,上記実施例では、2つの可変抵抗器(V旧) ,
(VR2) (F)位相Mtl80’とLたもノテ示
したが、特に180@である必要はなく,相互に不感帯
どうしが重なり合わない位相差であれば,上記実施例と
同様に回転角度情報をエンドレスに出力することができ
