Abstract

PURPOSE:To unify a temperature distribution in a baking furnace by a method wherein respective setters, laid continuously on the rollers of a line so as to be in close contact with each other, are provided with notches on the peripheral rims of the same. CONSTITUTION:Setters 3, provided with notches 2 on the peripheral rims thereof, are laid continuously on rollers 1 constituting a line so as to be contacted closely with each other. Box pots 4 are piled on respective setters 3 in a plurality of stages so as to avoid the notches 2. The box pot 4, having H-section provided with open ends at a pair of opposing rims, can induce the stream of combustion gas into the box pot 4 and, therefore, such a box pot 4 is effective for effecting the optimum and uniform baking. Tiles, tablewares and the other products S are put on the putting surfaces of the box pot 4 piled on the setters 3. The rollers 3 are driven to rotate them and the setters 3 are shifted into a baking zone. The stream of combustion gas, generated by the flame of a burner, passes through the notches 2 and convection in up-and-down direction may be secured whereby the products such as tablewares and the like may be baked uniformly in the optimum condition of them.

A roller hearth kiln has a baking zone on a roller conveyor line, and a setter (shelf board) made of a fire-resistant material is placed on the roller, and the product to be baked is placed on the setter. Then, by rotating the rollers, they are sequentially transferred to the firing zone, which is the firing furnace.
The material is fired at a predetermined temperature during transit in the firing furnace, and then taken out of the furnace.

Such a roller hearth kiln firing method is advantageous in terms of equipment costs, but when the product is moved through the furnace by the rotation of the rollers, the walls laid on the rollers act as a blocking surface, making it difficult for the combustion air to flow around. Unfortunately, the setter is only capable of placing the product in one stage and performing so-called single-sheet firing on the rollers, so it is not suitable for mass firing and is used for small quantity production.

For these reasons, when mass producing ceramic products, a tunnel kiln firing method is adopted, in which a large number of saggers are stacked in several tiers on a cart, and the cart is sent into a tunnel kiln using a butcher for firing. ing.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above-mentioned tunnel kiln firing method that is adopted when mass producing ceramic products, the tunnel kiln becomes enormously large, and the factory site and factory facilities naturally become large. Regarding 5, the cart itself is made of fire-resistant material, which makes it expensive, and at the same time, during the firing stage when it is sent into the tunnel kiln, the wheels of the cart must be forcedly cooled to protect them from high heat. This necessitates huge capital investment.

With this in mind, the present invention aims to realize a firing method that can be economically mass-produced, and can be mass-produced using a roller hearth kiln, which has conventionally been considered suitable for small-quantity production and unsuitable for mass production. It is an object of the present invention to provide a novel roller hearth kiln firing method.

Means for Solving the Problems The roller hearth kiln firing method according to the present invention provides a roller hearth kiln in which line rollers 10, 10, and setters 3 each having a notch 2 on the periphery are continuously connected so that they are in close contact with each other. Stack baking tools such as setters in multiple tiers with appropriate saggers 4 or tsuks interposed in each center 3 so as to avoid the notches 2, and stack the baking tools in each tier. It is characterized by the fact that the product to be fired is fired without being placed on it.

Action Roller 11 of the line that revs to the roller hearth kiln
The setters 3, which are laid continuously so as to be in close contact with each other, are each provided with a notch 2 at the peripheral edge, so that when the rollers 1 are driven to rotate and moved to the firing zone, the setters 3 are placed in close contact with each other. The flame of the burner 5, which is installed under the roller 1 or also on the roller 1, rises! 1Ate airflow is in close contact with each other and is not vertically blocked by the setters 3 laid down, and the convection is ensured downward through the notches 2 provided at the periphery of each setter 3. Ru. Thereby, the temperature distribution in the firing furnace can be made uniform without creating a temperature difference between the upper layer and the lower layer of the setter 3, which are laid in close contact with each other on the roller 1.

In this way, the temperature distribution between the upper and lower layers of the setter 3 can be made uniform, so the setter, etc. Baking utensils are stacked in several tiers as appropriate, and the products such as tiles and tableware placed on each tier of the baking utensils are placed on one side to ensure that combustion air flows evenly across the products such as tiles and tableware to enable proper firing. can.

Setters 3 having notches 2 on their peripheries are continuously laid on rollers 1 constituting a line in a roller hearth kiln so as to be in close contact with each other. The reason why the setters 3 are placed in close contact with each other is to prevent each setter 3 from moving left and right and becoming misaligned when moving on the roller 1 due to the rotation of the roller 1. It is.

A plurality of saggers 4 are appropriately stacked on each of the setters 3--H, which are thus successively laid in close contact with each other, avoiding the notches 2 of the setters. The saggers 4 that are stacked in multiple tiers have a cross-section I (I) type structure with a pair of opposing edges as open ends because they can guide the combustion air flow into the saggers 4, so that proper and uniform firing can be achieved. is valid.

In the firing furnace in the firing zone, the combustion airflow caused by the flames of burners placed above and below the rollers or also on the roller 1 passes through the notches 2 provided at the periphery of each setter 3. This ensures vertical convection, making it possible to equalize the temperature distribution throughout the lower two layers in the firing furnace. It is possible to bake products such as the following evenly and in an appropriate state.
