本発明の方法は、Ruおよび、またはその酸化物を含む

〜1200℃に加熱し、次に還元性雰囲気中700〜1
200℃でルテニウム酸化物を金属ルテニウムに還元し
た後、アルカリ性次亜塩素酸ナトリウム溶液で溶解し分
離する金属電極からRuを回収する方法に係るものであ

(発明の構成)
本発明はRuを回収する方法において、金属電極基体上
のRuおよび、またはその酸化物を含む被覆層を剥離し
、得られた剥離物を酸化性雰囲気中800〜1200℃
に加熱し剥離物に随伴してくるチタン等の金属電極基体
を酸化するとともに、酸化チタン中から酸化ルテニウム
を析出させた後、還元性雰囲気中700〜1200℃で
加熱し、ルテニウム酸化物を金属ルテニウムに還元した
後アルカリ性次亜塩素酸ナトリウム液で溶解、分離しル

チタン基体電極より剥離した二酸化ルテニウムを含む剥
離物(Ru 3.60wt%)500gを耐火ルツボに
