のため鋳型成形が複雑となり、また後者において

摩耗警報部付インシユレータを提供することを目
的としている。

と、取り付けた際に隣接する反力片の間に位置す
る個所が断面コ字状で、平面が反力片間に形成さ
れる形状、本実施例においては門形に外方へ張り
出した放熱部14d,14dとが交互に一体成形
され、更に一端、本実施例においてはデイスク回
入側端に押圧面14aを延出、屈曲せしめて摩耗
警報部15が形成されている。そして放熱部14
dは夫々中央部に孔16を有する放熱面14eと
連結部14fとから成り、放熱面14eの横幅l1
は隣接する反力片間の間隔l2を若干幅広に形成さ
れ、第5図に示す如く取り付けの際反力片間に圧
入嵌合することにより連結部14fで弾発係止さ
れることとなつており、また放熱面14eは従来
の平板状のインシユレータと異なり反力片間から
外方に張り出し、走行中移動する外気に晒される
こととなり、放熱効率が極めて優れることとな
る。押圧面14a,14b,14cは反力片5
a,5b,5cと裏板9aとの間にあつて、制動
熱を反力片5a,5b,5cに伝えない断熱材の
役割を果すと共に、押圧面14a,14b,14
cの縦幅l3を変えることにより自由に反力片の剛
性を設定することができる。本実施例においては
押圧面14a,14b,14cのうちデイスク回
入側の押圧面14aを他の押圧面14b,14c
より縦幅l3を縮減することにより狭小に形成して
デイスク回入側の反力片5aの剛性を小さく設定
している。従つて制動作用が行われるピストン1
0の押圧力が作動部側パツド8を介してデイスク
7に加わり、制動初期にはパツド8のデイスク回
入側のピストン10による押力が助長するが、反
力片5aの開き(逃げ)により、この助長を押え
ることができ、パツド8,9はデイスク7に略均
一に圧接することとなる。更に摩耗警報部15は
押圧面14aのデイスク回入側端が一旦外方へ延
出し断面略四角形状に折曲する折曲部15aと該
折曲部端に形成されたパツド側に突出する突出部
15bとから成つており、この突出部15bはパ
ツド9がデイスク7との摩擦により最初の厚みA
からパツド交換すべき摩耗限界の厚みBになると
デイスク7と摺動し、更に突出部15b及び折曲
部15aの振動により警報音を発生する。従つて
車両の使用者はブレーキをかける毎に発生する警
報音によつてパツドの取替時期が来たことを確実
に、容易に知ることとなる。尚、この摩耗警報部
15を設ける場所はインシユレータ14、キヤリ
パ1、パツド9及び裏板9a等の形状、取付けの
便宜等に合せて自由に設定可能であり、またその
形状も本実施例のものに限らないことは勿論であ

が可能となり、しかも同一のキヤリパに適宜イン
シユレータを用いることにより、特性の異なるデ
イスクブレーキ装置に対応することもできる。更
に押圧面をキヤリパに一体成形する従来のものに
あつてはキヤリパの鋳型成形が複雑であつたが、
本考案を用いれば反力片のパツド側は平坦に形成
することで足り、その鋳型成形は極めて簡単であ
る。更にまた本考案に係るインシユレータは反力
片間に圧入嵌合するのみで取り付け得ることか
ら、取り付け作業が簡単で、パツド交換等の作業
も容易である。しかも摩耗警報部はパツドが摩耗
限界まで摩耗すると警報音を発して知らせるか
ら、車両の使用者は確実、容易にパツドを交換す
べき時期であることを知り得、またパツドの取替
等に関係なく継続使用できるとともに、長期使用
によつて突出部自体が摩耗した場合はインシユレ
ータの取替のみで足り例えばキヤリパに設けた場
合と較べ経済的である。更にインシユレータが摩
耗警報を兼ねることから部品点数が減少し、一方
摩耗警報部からも放熱する等種々の効果を有す
る。
