Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a foundation for cosmetics, capable of controlling color tone of skin, exhibiting whitening and humidifying effects and having high safety by using a natural component extracted from a plant known as a Chinese medicine from ancient times. SOLUTION: This foundation for cosmetics is obtained by using an extraction component from KANZOU (Glycyrrhizae Radix) which is oil-soluble extract extracted from Glycyrrhiza glabra of a leguminous plant known as a Chinese medicine by ordinary method. In the foundation for cosmetics, proper amount of powder such as coloring pigment is blended with oil content, an emulsifier, a perfume, a thickener and other additives, etc., as components other than the active ingredient. Further, phospholipid such as lysolecithin and a thickener polymer such as quince seed are preferably added thereto in addition to the KANZOU extract ingredient. Refreshing touch feeling free from tackiness is given to users when the quince seed is used for foundation. The blend amount of the quince seed is about 5-10wt.%. The effect for promoting percutaneous absorption of active ingredients is obtained by including the phospholipid therein.
