When a heated aggregate, molten asphalt, etc., is to be cast into the mixer 1, the shutter 10 is closed so as to block the hole 6, and thereby the thermometer 8 is protected against dust or vapor produced in the mixer 1. The shutter 10 is opened when the dust and vapor in the mixer 1 have become lean, and the temp. of the asphalt mixture is measured by the thermometer 8 contactlessly.
