2. Description of the Related Art A thermal transfer sheet having a metallic luster due to a metal thin film layer is heat-transferred as a design pattern such as characters, figures, etc. onto a transfer target material such as cloth, paper, leather or a plastic sheet. . A conventional example for that purpose is shown in FIGS. First, for example, a cloth 101 is placed on the table 100, a transfer sheet 103 having a metal thin film layer 102 is laid on the cloth 101, and then a high-frequency heating die 104
Is pressed against the transfer sheet 103. The heating die 104 has a hot-melt cutting blade 105 along the contour of a design pattern such as letters, figures, and the like, and has a heating and pressing portion 106 of a predetermined width inside thereof. By pressing the heating die 104, a transfer sheet is obtained. 103 is fused along the design pattern, and the edge of the contour is heated and pressed by the heating and pressing portion 106.
The heat-sensitive adhesive portion 1 corresponding to that is heated by

However, in such a transfer method, first of all, the design pattern portion 108 is used.
By heating the edge portion 109 of the
The metal thin film layer 102 is burned at the edge portion 109, and the metallic luster is lost. Further, there is a drawback that the contour of the design pattern portion 108 is blurred due to the edge portion 109 having lost such metallic luster, and the contour is not clearly displayed. Secondly, since the design pattern portion 108 is only bonded to the fabric 101 only at the heat-sensitive adhesive portion 107 corresponding to the edge portion 109, the design pattern portion 108 and the fabric 101 are bonded together.
There is also the problem of insufficient integration with.

According to the present invention, a transfer sheet in which a heat-sensitive adhesive layer is directly or indirectly provided on the back side of a metal thin film layer via another layer is predetermined on the surface of a material to be transferred. A method of transferring a design pattern by heating is characterized by including the following four steps. That is,
First, in the first step, the transfer sheet is superposed on the transfer material so that the heat-sensitive adhesive layer faces the surface of the transfer material. In the second step, a heat fusing die having a protruding heat fusing blade corresponding to the contour of the design pattern is used, and the heat fusing die is heated from the surface side of the transfer sheet stacked on the transfer material. The transfer sheet is pressed in this state to heat-fuse the transfer sheet along the contour of the design pattern, and the design pattern portion of the transfer sheet is temporarily bonded to the surface of the material to be transferred in the heat-sensitive adhesive layer along the fusing line. Further, in the third step, the remaining portion of the transfer sheet other than the design pattern portion is removed. Then, in the fourth step, a heating and pressing member is pressed against the back surface of the material to be transferred in a heated state, and the heat-sensitive adhesive layer of the design pattern portion of the transfer sheet is heated over the entire area from the back surface of the material to be transferred. The entire surface of the design pattern portion of the sheet is permanently bonded to the surface of the material to be transferred.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, a design pattern portion 3 is heat-bonded to a cloth 1 by a transfer sheet 2, and this transfer is performed as follows. First, as shown in FIG. 2, the cloth 1 is placed on a horizontal and flat table 6, and the transfer sheet 2 is superposed thereon.

The transfer sheet 2 has a metal thin film layer e in the middle portion, as shown in the cross section of FIG. The metal thin film layer e is a layer that imparts a metallic luster and is formed by a known thin film forming method such as vacuum deposition. For this, various metals such as aluminum, zinc, gold, silver, nickel, copper, and chromium are adopted, and the thickness thereof is, for example, about 100 μm. A transparent protective resin layer d made of an acrylic resin, a melamine resin or the like for protecting the layer e is formed on the metal thin film layer e, and a friction resistant material such as urethane resin or nylon is formed thereon. A wear resistant resin layer c made of, for example, is formed. A base film a made of, for example, a polyester resin is releasably pressure-bonded to the abrasion-resistant resin layer c via a release layer b. On the other hand, on the lower side of the metal thin film layer e, a polyurethane sheet g is formed via an adhesive layer f as a layer that gives a thickness for giving a three-dimensional effect, and on the lower side thereof, an adhesive or adhesive A heat-sensitive adhesive layer h made of a hot melt sheet or the like is formed.

As shown in FIG. 2, the transfer sheet 2 having such a composite structure is superposed on the front surface of the cloth 1 in the heat-sensitive adhesive layer h on the back surface side thereof. 2 to 6, the composite structure of the transfer sheet 2 is simply shown. With the transfer sheet 2 superposed on the fabric 1 in this manner, the heating and melting mold 4 is pressed against the transfer sheet 2 in the heated state. The heat fusing die 4 is provided with a heat fusing blade 5 along the contour of a predetermined design pattern such as letters and figures to be transferred to the fabric 1, which is formed in a downward protruding shape. As shown in FIG. 3, when the heat fusing die 4 is lowered, the heat fusing blade 5 bites into the transfer sheet 2 and reaches the vicinity of the surface of the fabric 1, so that the transfer sheet 2 has a predetermined design pattern. It is thermally fused along, and the edge portion of the design pattern portion 3 is temporarily bonded to the fabric 1 at the linear portion h1 of the heat-sensitive adhesive layer h.

After the heating and melting mold 4 is raised, the remaining portion 7 of the transfer sheet 2 other than the design pattern portion 3 is removed as shown in FIG. The fabric 1 to which the design pattern portion 3 is temporarily attached in this manner is then turned over on the table 6, and the design pattern portion 3 contacts the table 6 as shown in FIG.
The fabric 1 is positioned on the upper side. Then, the heating and pressing member 8 in the heated state is pressed against the back surface of the fabric 1. The heating and pressing member 8 has a flat pressing surface 9 having a size that entirely covers the design pattern portion 3, and the pressing surface 9 heats the entire area of the heat-sensitive adhesive layer h of the design pattern portion 3 through the fabric 1. Then, the pressing member 8 finally rises. As a result, as shown in FIG. 6, the design pattern portion 3 has the heat-sensitive adhesive layer h.
A product that is fully bonded to the fabric 1 over the entire surface of the product is obtained.

As another embodiment, after the fusing / temporary bonding shown in FIG. 4 is completed, as shown in FIG. 8, the heating pressing member 20 is attached to the back surface of the fabric 1 from below without turning the fabric 1 over. It is also possible to perform the main adhesion while pressing the contact member 21 against the surface of the design pattern portion 3 from above while pressing.

According to the present invention, after the design pattern portion is melted and temporarily fixed by the heat-melting type, the heating and pressing member is pressed from the back surface of the transferred material to cover the entire surface of the design pattern portion. By permanently adhering to the transfer material, the edges of the design pattern portion are not crushed by heat, and finally, those having clean edges can be obtained. Moreover, since the entire surface of the design pattern portion is permanently adhered to the material to be transferred, the integrity of the design pattern portion of the transfer sheet and the material to be transferred is excellent.
