ある中空成形体3を緩衝材として介置したものである。
かかる中空成形体3は、発泡樹脂成形物よりなる緩衝材
に比較して体積が小さくなり廃棄物処理の見地から優れ
ているが、その反面、外装箱1の内面とは接触しない中
空成形体3の端面に樹脂成形時に熱可塑性樹脂を注入す
るための注入口4を開けており、この内面側を被包装品
2の各部に当てがい、該表面側を外装箱1の内面に当て
て、被包装品2と外装箱1間に介在させるものである。
このため、かかる緩衝材にあっては被包装品2と外装箱
1内面間の空隙が大きい場合は輸送中に外部振動により
位置ずれを起こし易く、位置ずれが生じると緩衝効果が
不十分な状態となり、また前記空隙が小さい場合あるい
は輸送中の外部衝撃によっては、中空成形体3が圧縮さ
れて空気が抜けることとなり、この場合にあっても緩衝
効果が劣ることとなる。しかも被包装品2の角部に当て
がうものであるから、注入口4よりの空気漏れがある
と、中空成形体3の位置ずれが助長される。
