Description
【0001】[0001]
The present invention relates to improvement of a small transformer member used in an electronic circuit.
【0002】[0002]
Generally, a small transformer member 30 of this type has a toroidal core 15 on an insulating (resin) substrate 11 integrally formed with external connection terminals 13, 13, ..., 13 as shown in FIG. 7 (a). The transformer 18 around which the conducting wire 3 is wound is mounted, and the conducting wires (lead wires) 3, 3, ..., 3 on the primary side and the secondary side are shown in respective terminals 13, 13 ,. It is wound and soldered. In the case of FIG.7 (b), the transformer member 30 which has a tap terminal is shown.
【0003】[0003]
However, in recent years, the transformer member 30 has been manufactured in a small amount for a variety of uses. Therefore, in the transformer members 30 and 40 of the conventional example, a mold is required each time to design and manufacture the insulating substrates 11 and 21 integrally formed with the external connection terminals 13, 13 ,. There is a problem that it takes time to commercialize according to individual specifications, the unit cost of the insulating substrates 11 and 21 increases, and the unit price of the transformer members 30 and 40 increases.
【0004】[0004]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a transformer member which is improved in the disadvantages of the above conventional example and which has a relatively simple structure and does not require a mold for manufacturing an insulating substrate.
【0005】[0005]
Therefore, in the present invention, a transformer member is formed by mounting a transformer having a toroidal core around which a wire is wound and a primary winding and a secondary winding are mounted on an insulating substrate. In addition to having a polygonal shape, cutouts are provided on the side surfaces that sandwich the corners of the insulating substrate so as to sandwich the corners, and a conductive layer is formed on at least the lower surface of the corners sandwiched by the cutouts. It is intended to achieve the above-mentioned object by adopting a structure in which the conducting wire is wound around.
【0006】[0006]
An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. In the transformer member 1 shown in FIG. 1, notches 6 and 6 are provided on the side surfaces 8, 8, ..., 8 sandwiching each corner portion 4 of a hexagonal insulating substrate so as to sandwich the corner portions 4 and 4, respectively. A tapped transformer in which a conductor wire 3 is wound around a toroidal core 2 is placed on an insulating substrate 7 having a conductive layer 5 formed on the upper surface, side surface, and lower surface of a corner portion 4 sandwiched by the notches 6 and 6. The respective conductors 3 are wound around the corners 4 and are integrated by soldering or the like.
The conductive layer 5 formed on the corner portion 4 may be provided only on the lower surface, which is a contact surface with the pattern 22 of the circuit board 20 on which the transformer member 1 is mounted (FIG. 6A). ) However, in this configuration, when the corner portion 4 and the pattern 22 are connected using the solder A, only the surface B in the drawing is connected, and the reliability of soldering is reduced, so that it is shown in FIG. 6B. Thus, it is better to provide the conductive layer 5 from the lower surface to the side surface of the corner portion 4. According to this configuration, since the solder A hangs on the lower surface and the side surface of the corner portion 4 (contact surface C), the connection area with the pattern 22 becomes large, and the reliability of soldering can be easily improved.
4 and 5 show another embodiment of the present invention, in which the insulating substrate 17 has a quadrangular shape, and the corner portions 4 are sandwiched between the side surfaces 8, 8 ,. The toroidal core 12 is formed on the insulating substrate 17 in which the cutouts 6 and 6 are provided so as to sandwich the cutouts 4 and 4, and the conductive layer 5 is formed on the upper surface, the side surface, and the lower surface of the corner portion 4 sandwiched by the cutouts 6 and 6. A transformer around which the conductive wire 3 is wound is placed, and each conductive wire 3 is wound around the corner portion 4 and integrated.
Since the present embodiment is configured as described above, it is only necessary to form the insulating base plates 7 and 17 having the corner portion 4 and the notch 6 and to provide the conductive layer 5 at the corner portion 4 to form the transformer member. Since it is possible to easily form the insulating substrates 1 and 10, it is not necessary to use a mold for forming the insulating substrates 11 and 21 as in the conventional example. Therefore, the unit cost of the insulating substrates 7 and 17 can be reduced, and the insulating substrates 7 and 17 can be reduced. Since the printed circuit board manufacturing technology can be applied to the formation, the design and manufacturing are quick, and the product cost can be reduced even in the case of high-mix low-volume production. Furthermore, since reflow soldering can be performed when the transformer members 1 and 10 are mounted on the circuit board, there is an advantage that the work of connecting the lead wires 3 to the insulating boards 7 and 17 can be simplified.
