のみならず、水面の低下とともに下降する浮上性ろ材が
傾斜板5の表面に付着している懸濁物を剥離し、下方に
落下して排出される。このようにして懸濁物が除去され
た後、流入口2から被処理水を流入させて再び運転を開

が捕捉懸濁物により目詰まりし始めた場合には、傾斜板
配置部4の下方の空気導入管9から空気を吹き込んだう
えで水位を低下させることによって、浮上性ろ材から分
離された捕捉懸濁物を除去できるのみならず、水面の低
下とともに下降する浮上性ろ材によって傾斜板5の表面
の捕捉懸濁物をも除去することができる。このため、本
発明によれば従来は適用が困難とされていた高濃度懸濁
物を含む下水の一次処理にも、傾斜板式沈殿槽を適用す
