〔目的〕自動車電話などの移動通信用無線基地につい
て、用地確保の困難さや都市景観に与える悪影響などの
問題を解消する。 〔構成〕街路灯を支持する支柱（３０）と、この支柱に
取り付けられるアンテナ（２０）と、電話交換網に連な
る有線伝送路（４０）への接続端子、この接続端子とア
ンテナとの間に配置される送受信部（１２，１３）及び
街路灯と共通の給電線（３２）から交流電力を受けて送
受信部に動作電力を供給する電源部（１５）を備えると
共に支柱（３０）の内部に取り付けられる本体部分（１
０）とを備えている。

【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、自動車電話やポケット
ベルなどの移動電話端末と電話交換網との間に設置され
る移動通信用無線基地局に関するものである。

【従来の技術】近年、移動電話の無線基地局の増設によ
るサービスエリアの拡大が必要とされている。移動電話
システムでは、周波数の有効利用の観点から個々の無線
基地局を中心とする個々のゾーンを狭めることにより同
一周波数帯の繰り返し利用を図っているが、このような
小ゾーン構成のもとに広いサービスエリアを確保しよう
とすれば相当多数の無線基地局が必要になる。このよう
な無線基地局を設置する場所としては、見通しのよい高
所でかつ商用電源の供給が容易な場所が望ましい。ま
た、都市の景観を損なわないように美観を考慮する必要
もある。

【０００３】最近では、無線基地局の建設用地の取得が
困難なため計画通りにサービスエリアを拡大できない状
況にある。このような状況を打開するために、商用電力
の送配電線を支持する鉄塔や電柱などの支柱上に無線中
継装置を設ける技術が特願平３ー４６２７号公報に開示
されている。この柱上無線中継装置には、移動電話端末
との通信に用いるアンテナ、無線中継装置相互間の通信
に用いるアンテナ、電話局との通信に用いるマイクロ波
帯のアンテナなどが設けられる。

継装置を設ける技術が特願平３ー４６２７号公報に開示
されている。この柱上無線中継装置には、移動電話端末
との通信に用いるアンテナ、無線中継装置相互間の通信
に用いるアンテナ、電話局との通信に用いるマイクロ波
帯のアンテナなどが設けられる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】最近、都市の景観を保
つために電柱を撤去して送配電線を地下に埋設すること
が多くなっており、特に、移動電話の使用頻度が高いオ
フィス街では電柱を探すことさえ困難になってきてい
る。このため、上記特許公報に開示されているような柱
上無線中継装置の設置場所の確保がますます困難になっ
てきている。また、上記柱上無線中継装置では、本体部
分が外部に露出しているため都市の景観を損なうという
問題もある。従って、本発明の目的は、設置場所の確保
が容易で都市の景観を損なうことのない無線基地局を提
供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の移動通信用無線
基地局は、街路灯を支持する支柱と、この支柱に取り付
けられるアンテナと、電話交換網に連なる有線伝送路へ
の接続端子、この有線伝送路への接続端子と前記アンテ
ナとの間に配置される送受信部及び前記街路灯と共通の
給電線から交流電力を受けて前記送受信部に動作電力を
供給する電源部を備えると共に前記支柱の内部に取り付
けられる本体部分とを備えている。

【作用】移動通信用無線基地局の置局選定条件として
は、商用電源の確保ができることと、公衆電話交換網に
連なる有線伝送路との接続が容易なことがあげられる。

線基地局の構成を示す外観図であり、１０は無線基地局
の本体部、２０はアンテナ、３０は支柱、３１は街路

テナ２０が取り付けられる。このアンテナ２０は、街路
灯の外観を損なわない範囲内で、支柱３０の外壁面上な
どに反射板と扇形の水平面内指向性を有するものとして
取り付ける構造としてもよい。

０、給電線３２、通信ケーブル４０との接続状況と共に
示すブロック図であり、１１はアンテナ共用装置、１２
は通話用送受信装置、１３は制御用送受信装置、１４は
基地局制御装置、１５は電源部である。通話用送受信装
置１２と制御用送受信装置１３は、複数の通話チャネル
や制御チャネルごとにそれぞれ複数設置されると共に、
これら複数の通話・制御チャネルを共用のアンテナ２０
に接続するためにアンテナ共用装置１１が設置されてい
る。

による通話／制御回線を介して無線回線制御局に接続さ
れ、無線基地局本体部１０の制御、移動局の監視、チャ
ネルの指定及び切り替え、位置登録制御、無線回線制御
局とのインタフェースなどの制御を行う。電源部３２
は、街路灯３１と共通の給電線３２から商用の交流電力
の供給を受け、各種の安定化直流電力を作成し、これら
を本体部１０内の送受信装置１２，１３や基地局制御装
置に供給する。

車電話交換局、ホームメモリ局、あるいは固定の電話交
換網内の中継交換機、加入者交換機などと共同して、移
動局から固定電話機や他の移動局への発呼接続、これと
逆の道筋の着呼接続、通話中チャネル切り替え、終話に
伴う回線の切断・復旧などを行う。

【００１３】例えば、移動局からの発呼時には、以下の
ような動作が行われる。移動局の利用者が電話端末をオ
フフックすると、移動局から発信制御チャネルに発呼信
号が送出され、これがアンテナ２０とアンテナ共用装置
１１とを介して制御用送受信装置１３に受信される。こ
の発呼信号には制御用送受信装置における受信レベルが
付加され、基地局制御装置１４を介して無線回線制御局
に連なる通信ケーブル４０に送出される。無線回線制御
局では、移動局からの発呼信号を受信した移動局が複数
存在すれば、これを最高の受信レベルで受信した無線基
地局をその移動局の在圏無線ゾーンと判定し、その空き
チャネルの一つを選択し、このチャネル番号を該当の無
線基地局を介して下りの着信制御チャネルに送出させ
る。移動局では指定された通話チャネルへの切り替えが
行われ、この通話チャネルの導通試験を経て自動車電話
交換局までの通話路の設定が行われたのち、発呼側移動
局からのダイヤル数字の送出、被呼側の固定電話機や移
動局などの呼出しと応答などを経て発呼側電話機と被呼
側電話機との間に通話路が設定され、通話が開始され
る。

地局をその移動局の在圏無線ゾーンと判定し、その空き
チャネルの一つを選択し、このチャネル番号を該当の無
線基地局を介して下りの着信制御チャネルに送出させ
る。移動局では指定された通話チャネルへの切り替えが
行われ、この通話チャネルの導通試験を経て自動車電話
交換局までの通話路の設定が行われたのち、発呼側移動
局からのダイヤル数字の送出、被呼側の固定電話機や移
動局などの呼出しと応答などを経て発呼側電話機と被呼
側電話機との間に通話路が設定され、通話が開始され
る。

移動体呼出し用の無線送信装置だけを有するポケットベ
ルなどの移動通信用無線基地局にも本発明を適用できる

【発明の効果】以上詳細に説明したように、本発明の移
動通信用無線基地局は街路灯の支柱に取り付ける構成で
あるから、無線基地局設置のための用地を新たに取得す
る必要がなくなり、移動電話の使用頻度が高いオフィス
街などでの用地取得の困難さを有効に解決できるという
効果が奏される。

- 【請求項１】街路灯を支持する支柱と、 この支柱に取り付けられるアンテナと、 電話交換網に連なる有線伝送路への接続端子、この有線

送受信部及び前記街路灯と共通の給電線から交流電力を
受けて前記送受信部に動作電力を供給する電源部を備え

話用送受信装置と、制御用送受信装置と、前記有線伝送
