Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an envelope and sealing method thereof, the manufacture of which is easy, and which can be continuously sealed at a high speed by an assured and even adhering force even when being put on a sealing machine by using a heat-sensitive adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A tongue piece for sealing 12 is extended from one end opening 11 of an envelope main body 1. A heat-sensitive adhesive layer 2 is formed on the whole surface or partially of at least one surface of the tongue piece 12 or a surface to be sealed 13. Also, when the envelope is sealed, the above- mentioned tongue piece 12 is bent and put on the top of the surface to be sealed 13, and then the put together tongue piece 12 and the surface to be sealed 13 are press-bonded while being heated to adhere the tongue piece 12 and the surface to be sealed 13.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally used envelopes are made of an arabic rubber aqueous solution or the like on the sealing tongue piece or the surface to be sealed, which is extended from one end opening of the envelope body for convenience of sealing. A glue layer is formed. In this type of envelope sealing method, the Arabic paste is moistened with water to restore its activity as an adhesive to the Arabic paste, and the tongue piece and the sealed surface are polymerized and then dried to obtain the Arabic paste. The water was gradually evaporated to seal the adhesive.

However, in the above-mentioned envelope and its sealing method, the Arabic paste formed on the envelope is poor in stability over time, deteriorates after about three months, and then becomes wet with water. Because it will not adhere even if you let it,
Since the adhesiveness is not very reliable, and the amount of water required to restore the activity as an adhesive is subtle, the adhesive strength is greatly affected by the amount of water. Therefore, it is not reliable whether or not the envelope is sealed with a reliable and uniform adhesive force, and it takes time to evaporate the moisture of the damp Arabic paste. It was unsuitable for the purpose of continuously sealing with a sealing machine.

Further, in the production of the above-mentioned envelope, in order to form an arabic glue layer, it is necessary to dry the water content after applying an aqueous solution of arabic rubber, which is an emulsion, so that it takes a long time to produce and long drying is required. Equipment was required and production was complicated.

In the envelope of the present invention, the thermosensitive adhesive layer is formed on the entire surface or a part of at least one of the sealing tongue and the sealed surface extending from the one end opening of the envelope body, and the envelope is sealed. In addition, the tongue piece of the envelope is bent and polymerized on the sealed surface, and then the polymerized tongue piece and the sealed surface are heated to soften or melt the adhesive layer. If the tongue piece and the sealed surface are pressure-welded and then the adhesive layer is solidified by cooling, the tongue piece and the sealed surface are adhesively sealed.

Further, since the heat-sensitive adhesive used in the envelope of the present invention is excellent in stability over time, the adhesiveness does not deteriorate in a short period of time, and the adhesive is softened or heated by heating. Since it is a heat-sensitive type that is melted to activate the adhesiveness as an adhesive, it does not become sticky at room temperature, and even if the envelopes of the present invention are stacked, adjacent envelopes do not stick to each other, and dust adheres to the adhesive layer. It does not get dirty.

As described above, in the envelope of the present invention, the tongue piece and the sealed surface are adhesively sealed by the heat-sensitive adhesive layer formed on at least one of the sealing tongue piece and the sealed surface. Therefore, compared with a conventional envelope using Arabic paste, the adhesive layer does not require a drying step, can be easily manufactured in a short time, and the adhesive layer has excellent stability. Therefore, the adhesiveness does not deteriorate in a short period of time, and since it is not sticky at room temperature, even if the envelopes of the present invention are stacked, adjacent envelopes do not stick to each other, and dust adheres to the adhesive layer to stain it. In addition, the object to be encapsulated can be easily inserted, and the envelope of the present invention does not stick to other parts when addressing or printing.

Further, the method for sealing an envelope of the present invention is an envelope wherein the tongue and the sealed surface are adhesively sealed by a heat-sensitive adhesive layer formed on at least one of the sealing tongue and the sealed surface. As compared with the conventional sealing method using an envelope that is adhesively sealed with arabic glue, it does not require time-consuming steps such as moistening with water or drying, so the sealing machine can be downsized and This is a method that allows continuous and high-speed sealing with a reliable and uniform adhesive force using a sealing machine or the like.
