【実施例】以下、本発明の一実施例を図を参照して説明
する。ヘッド本体1は一側にシャフト2を連結するため

ス部材4の後方を中空部5を介して覆いソ−ル部6を有
する後殻7とからなる。前記フェース部材4の前面には
フェース4Aが形成されている。前記ヘッド本体1は純
チタン(比重略4.5)、或いはチタン合金を鋳造した
ものであり、また前記後殻7は純チタン(比重略4.
5)、或いはチタン合金を鋳造或いは板材をプレス加工
したものであり、所定のフェース角Aとなるように前記
フェース部材4の縁に前記後殻7の縁が溶着されてい
る。尚、前記中空部5の断面は楕円を半割りにした形状
であって、その容積としては45立方cm〜65立方c
m、好ましくは略53立方cmである。
