is rotatably fitted. If the femoral head has to be removed due to injury or disease, the portion surrounded by the chain line R is removed and an artificial joint as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 is used instead. The artificial joint is formed by an artificial bone 2 (part of which is shown in broken lines in FIG. 5) that is joined to the rest of the femur A, and an acetabulum 1 that is attached to the hip bone B side. The femoral head 2a of the artificial bone 2 is fitted into the formed central recess 14, and the acetabulum 1 and the artificial bone 2 are fitted so that they can rotate freely with respect to each other.

A cup in which an inner cup 12 made of high-strength synthetic resin (for example, ultra-high-density, high-molecular-weight polyethylene) is fitted inside is commonly used. When attaching this acetabulum 1 to a human body, first, the back metal 11 is initially fixed to the remaining bone with screws 13, and then the inner cup 12 is fitted inside the back metal 11. In order to fix the back metal 11 and the inner cup 12 in this fitting process, in the example shown in FIGS. The circumferential groove formed along the protrusion 11
A structure is adopted to prevent the inner cup 12 from slipping out by engaging with the inner cup 12. Another example of a slip-out prevention structure is to form a circumferential groove along the inner circumferential wall of the back metal 11 on the opening side, and to provide a snap piece on the outer circumferential side of the inner cup 12 that elastically engages with the circumferential groove. It is also possible to adopt a structure in which the two members are engaged with each other by protruding from the two members.

Back metal 11 and inner cup 12
Once inserted, it is difficult to remove it again. For example, during surgery, after attaching the back metal 11 with the screws 13, the inner cup 1
It is normal to always practice to test whether 2 fits well. Alternatively, when it becomes necessary to change the inner cup 12 to a recess 14 having a different size during a reoperation, there is a problem in that a special removal tool must be prepared in advance and a large-scale removal work is required.

The inner cup 12 is easily damaged, and the protrusions 11a etc. are worn out due to long-term use, causing the back metal 11 to become damaged.
In some cases, rattling occurred between the inner cup 12 and the inner cup 12.

a must be fixed so as to always maintain a rear position with respect to the human body, but in the above engagement structure, the inner cup 12 is attached to the back metal 11.
There was also a problem in that the artificial bone 2 easily rotated around the axis, and there was a high possibility that the artificial bone 2 would dislocate.

After repeated steps, the present invention was completed.

The gist is that a tapered snap ring is engaged that presses the back metal toward the back side.

いる。[Operations and Examples] FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional explanatory view showing a typical example of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a bottom view of FIG. 1. An appropriate number of screw holes 16 are formed at appropriate locations in the hollow hemispherical back metal 11, and an inner cup 12 made of high-strength synthetic resin is fitted inside the back metal 11. A recess 14 is formed into which the femoral head 2a of the artificial bone 2 is rotatably fitted. The back metal 11 and the inner cup 12 are fixed by the following engagement structure. That is, the inner peripheral wall of the back metal 11 on the opening side has a tapered annular groove 11b along the circumferential direction.
A tapered surface 11b1 is formed on the side wall of the annular groove 11b on the opening side, and the groove width gradually decreases toward the groove bottom side. The opening side end surface 12A of the inner cup 12 is set to slightly protrude toward the opening side from the inner side wall 11b 2 of the annular groove 11b, and the annular groove 11b has a snap ring 20 that elastically expands in the outer circumferential direction. is inserted. A tapered surface 20a is formed along the circumferential direction on the end surface of the snap ring 20 that comes into contact with the tapered surface 11b1 , and the tapered surface 20a is designed to temporarily reduce the thickness of the snap ring 20 toward the outer circumference. The expansion force of the snap ring 20 applies a pressing force that causes the snap ring 20 itself to move along the tapered surface 11b1 to the side opposite to the opening end, thereby moving the inner cup 12 to the back side of the back metal 11. Press these two members 1
It is constructed so that no wobbling occurs between 1 and 12.

Or made of synthetic resin material. In order to facilitate the attachment and detachment of the snap spring 20, holes 20c and 20 are provided at the ends as shown in FIG.
It is preferable to form a groove c, whereby the snap ring 20 can be easily attached to and detached from the annular groove 11b using a surgical tool such as pliers, and the back metal 11 and inner cup 12 can be easily fixed and removed. Now I can do it as many times as I want.

The tip of a rotation prevention pin 21, which is disposed to penetrate through the back metal 11 in the thickness direction, engages with this notch groove, thereby preventing rotation of the inner cup 12 about its axis. In the example shown above, three notched grooves 12 are formed on one anti-rotation pin 21 at an interval of about 10 degrees from the center axis.
Although the example in which the rotation prevention pin 2 is formed is shown, the rotation prevention pin 2
The number and pitch of grooves provided are arbitrary as long as the grooves can be engaged with one another. Further, the rotation prevention pin 21 may be a screw, a bolt, a pin, or any other known type. It is preferable that the cutout groove 12b is provided in a direction parallel to the axis of the inner cup 12, so that the cutout groove acts as a guide groove and the back metal 11 into which the rotation prevention pin is inserted.
Even after temporarily fixing the inner cup to the hip bone, the inner cup can be easily attached and detached.
