記窓孔6には段部8が形成されていると共に、この段部
8の全部または一部の周面9は、後部側が深くなるよう
に逆テーパ状に形成されている。さらに前記窓孔6の後
方には空洞10を介して後部殻11が一体に形成されてい
る。すなわち前記後部殻11の下部は前記ソール1に連設
されると共に、後部殻11の上部はヘッドのトップ12に連
設されている。前記フェース部材4は前記凹部5に嵌着
するものであって、その後面には凸所13が設けられてい
る。尚、フェース部材4の縁部4Aは予め周面7より僅
かに大きく形成され、また凸所13の縁部13Aは予め周面
9より僅かに大きく形成されている。そしてヘッド本体
2にフェース部材4を固着する場合には、凹部5にフェ
ース部材4をプレス等によって圧入するものである。こ
の際にフェース部材4の縁部4Aが周面7に嵌着し、ま
た凸所13の縁部13Aが周面9に嵌着して固着されるもの
である。
