(Prior art) For example, as an example of a protective fence installed at the peripheral edge of a balcony, a weir wall provided at the peripheral edge is covered with weir wall caps, and weir wall caps are placed at appropriate intervals on the weir wall caps. Some have pillars erected and handrail caps installed on each of the pillars. When connecting the joints of handrail caps or weir wall caps at the corners of this protective fence, the ends of the caps that are opposite each other are cut diagonally at a predetermined angle, and both cut ends are butted against each other. However, in the past, both cut ends were brought into close contact with each other and abutted against each other, so even if there was a slight error in the cutting angle, the two cut ends would not come into close contact with each other, resulting in a gap between the two cut ends. This caused problems such as the appearance of the gap being unsightly, and rainwater entering through the gap.

In view of the above-mentioned conventional problems, the object of the present invention is to provide a device for covering the ends of a capstone, which has a good appearance and is also capable of preventing rainwater from entering between the ends of both caps. .

(Example) Hereinafter, an example of the present invention will be described based on FIGS. 1 to 5. Fig. 5 shows a corner part bent at right angles of a protective fence 1 installed at the peripheral edge of a balcony, etc. In this figure, the protective fence 1 is a weir wall installed at the peripheral edge of a balcony. A weir wall cap 3 covered by the weir wall cap 2, pillars 4 erected at appropriate intervals on the weir wall cap 3, and each of the pillars 4.
It has a handrail cap 5 installed above, and at the corner part, weir wall caps 3, 3 cut diagonally at 45 degrees.
The ends of the handrail caps 5, 5, which are also cut at an angle of 45 degrees, are butted against each other, and the butted ends each serve as a substantially U-shaped synthetic resin covering frame 6 that serves as an umbrella. , 7.

As shown in FIG. 1, each of the side pieces 7b, 7c
An engagement groove 11 is recessed in the lower end of the inner surface of each of the side pieces 7b, 7c over the entire length in the width direction, and an engagement protrusion 12 (engagement part) is provided in a protruding manner. When the frame 7 is externally fitted onto both capboard end portions 5a, 5a, the engaging grooves 11, 11 are engaged with the lower end protrusions 10a of the both side side portions 10 of both capillary end portions, and the engaging protrusions 12 , 12 is the lower end protrusion 1
0a, the entire inner surface of the covering frame 7 is brought into close contact with the outer circumferential surfaces of the caps 5a, 5a, and watertightness between them is ensured.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a plate-shaped hanging portion 13 with a thickness of approximately 3 mm is suspended from the center of the back surface of the top piece 7a of the covering frame 7 to the top of both side pieces 7b and 7c. The upper piece 7a and both side pieces 7b and 7c are integrally reinforced by this hanging portion 13. Further, the hanging portion 13 is formed to have a width narrower than the indoor/outdoor width of the upper piece 7a, so that recesses 14, 14 remain between the side pieces 7b, 7c and the hanging portion 13. The both side pieces 7b and 7c are configured to be able to elastically displace using the boundary point with the upper piece 7a as a fulcrum. Therefore, the covering frame 7 is attached to both the capswood end portions 5.
a, 5a, both side pieces 7b,
7c is elastically displaced outwardly to facilitate fitting, and after the fitting, both side pieces 7b and 7c return to their original states due to their own elastic restoring force, and both sides It is brought into close contact with the side parts 10, 10.

A through hole 16 in the shape of an E-shape is formed in the center of the hanging portion 13 in contact with the upper piece portion 7a, and a pair of engaging pawls extending upward between the holes 16 are provided. 15, 15 are formed integrally with the hanging portion 13. As shown in FIG. 2, both of the engaging claws 15, 15 are bent in opposite directions, and between the tip of each of the engaging claws 15, 15 and the upper piece 7a, there are ends of both caps. A gap γ is formed that is slightly larger than the thickness of the upper side portion 9 of 5a, 5a. Therefore, by fitting the covering frame 7 to both capboard ends 5a, 5a, the drooping portion 13 is fitted to both capboard ends 5a, 5a.
When inserted into the gap α between a, both engaging claws 15,
15 passes between the two upper sides 9, 9 while being elastically deformed, and after passing through, returns to its original state due to its own elastic restoring force, as shown in FIG. In this return state, the tips of both the engaging claws 15, 15 are engaged with the back surfaces of the upper side parts 9, 9, so that due to deformation of the covering frame 7 and vibrations applied to both the capsular ends 5a, 5a. There is no fear that the covering frame 7 will fall off from the ends 5a, 5a of the caps. Incidentally, reference numeral 17 in FIG. 2 is a corner metal fitting that integrally connects both capboard end portions 5a, 5a to each other.

The structure and function of the weir wall cap covering frame 6 shown in FIG. 5 are almost the same as those of the handrail cap covering frame 7 described above, so a description thereof will be omitted.

In the above embodiment, the case where the protective fence 1 is bent at a right angle at a corner was explained as an example, but the present invention can also be applied to a case where the protective fence 1 is bent at an angle other than the right angle, for example, 120°. In the case of bending, as shown in FIG. 6, a covering frame 7 having both side pieces 7b and 7c with a bending angle β of 120° may be used. Further, as shown in FIG. 7, the present invention can also be applied to the case where the two capstone end portions 5a, 5a are linearly butted against each other.

(Effect of the invention) According to the invention, after fixing each cap to the support,
A so-called post-installation method is used in which a covering frame is fitted to the end of the Kasagi. When fitting the covering frame to the end of the Kasagi, each Kasagi does not shift in position, so it is similar to the so-called pre-installation method. After fitting the covering frame,
There is no need to reconfirm whether the position of the cap has shifted, and the protective fence can be assembled quickly and easily.

When the covering frame is fitted to the end of the Kasagi, both sides of the covering frame are elastically displaced to expand outward.
The fitting is easy, and after the fitting, the side pieces automatically return to their original state due to their own elastic restoring force, so the covering frame is tightly attached to the end of the Kasagi and rainwater is prevented. It is possible to reliably prevent intrusion into the capstone from between the covering frame and the end of the capstone.

The covering frame can be attached to the Kasagi ends with one touch by simply pushing the engaging claws that come into contact with the Covering frame through the hanging parts into the small gap between the Kasagi ends, and in the attached state, Since the engaging pawl engages with the back surface of the cap with elastic restoring force, the covering frame can be irremovably fitted to the end of the cap.
