[Detailed explanation of the invention] 《Field of the invention》 This invention is an air cleaner in the engine room,
The present invention relates to an intake duct for introducing outside air into an engine, and particularly to a vehicle intake duct for reducing intake noise.

<Prior art and its problems> For example, as shown in FIG. 3, in the engine room of a vehicle, there is a system for introducing outside air into the air cleaner 1 or supplying clean air obtained from the air cleaner 1 to the engine 2. An intake duct 3 is installed for this purpose.
Intake resonance noise occurs, which is a major factor in reducing vehicle quietness.

As a countermeasure to this problem, as shown in Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-39147, by providing multiple holes in the outer shell of the intake duct and lining the inner wall surface of the outer shell of the duct with a sound absorbing material such as felt or urethane foam, resonance can be prevented. It has been proposed to try to eliminate the noise associated with the phenomenon.

However, although this method is effective in reducing intake noise, it is troublesome to attach the sound absorbing material to the inner wall of the intake duct, especially since it is installed in a narrow space such as an engine room. Intake ducts are often set in complex shapes, making it extremely difficult to attach sound-absorbing materials such as those described above to the inner walls of complex-shaped ducts.
There was a problem that caused a significant increase in costs.

Furthermore, it has been pointed out that maintenance such as replacing the sound absorbing material is difficult if it becomes clogged, and that there is a risk that the sound absorbing material may fall off from the inner wall of the duct due to negative pressure during intake. .

[Purpose of the invention] This invention was made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and the purpose of the invention is to provide a plurality of holes in the intake duct body to prevent resonance, and to cover the holes with sound-absorbing material. In the installed intake duct, the sound absorbing material can be easily installed, maintenance such as replacing the sound absorbing material is easy, and the negative pressure during intake reliably prevents the sound absorbing material from falling off. An object of the present invention is to provide an intake duct for a vehicle.

《Structure and Effects of the Invention》 In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a vehicle intake duct that is installed in the engine compartment and introduces outside air to the air cleaner and the engine. A duct body with an appropriate number of holes drilled in it, a sound absorbing material attached to the outer peripheral surface of the duct body to cover the resonance prevention holes, and a stretchable cover that covers and holds the outer peripheral surface of this sound absorbing material. It is characterized by being composed of:

In other words, the vehicle air intake duct according to the present application does not have a sound absorbing material such as felt, glass wool, or urethane foam attached along the inner wall surface of the duct as in the past, but instead has a sound absorbing material attached to the outer peripheral surface of the duct body. The outer circumferential surface of the sound absorbing material is held down by an elastic cover net, and the sound absorbing material is closely fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the duct body. This has the advantage that the sound absorbing material can be easily installed even in parts with a similar shape, and the number of installation steps can be significantly reduced.

Furthermore, when performing maintenance work such as replacing the sound absorbing material when it becomes clogged, this fixing device can be easily removed using the elasticity of the cover net, making maintenance work easier. In addition, due to the elasticity of this cover net, the sound-absorbing material is closely fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the duct body to cover the resonance prevention hole, so if it is installed on the inner wall surface of the duct body as in the conventional case. As shown in the figure, there is no problem of the sound absorbing material falling off due to negative pressure during intake.

In FIG. 1, the duct body 10 is formed into a hollow cylindrical shape by blow molding synthetic resin such as polypropylene, and the duct body 10 is further provided with holes 11 for preventing resonance at desired locations. Multiple holes are drilled. Then, a sound absorbing material 12 made of a porous base material such as felt, glass wool, asbestos sheet, urethane foam, etc. is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the duct body 10. It is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the duct body 10 so as to cover the duct body 11.

In this application, a stretchable cover net 13 is used as a fixing means for the sound absorbing material 12. It is constructed by combining elastic threads such as threads into a net shape.

Therefore, as shown in FIG.
If a sound absorbing material 12 is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the sound absorbing material 12 and the hole 11 for preventing resonance is covered with this sound absorbing material 12, and the outer peripheral surface of this sound absorbing material 12 is further covered with a cover net 13, this cover net 13 Since the diameter of the cover net 13 is set to be smaller than the outer diameter of the duct body 10, the sound absorbing material 1 is

In this way, the sound absorbing material 12 can be easily attached to the outer peripheral surface of the duct body 10, and the sound absorbing material 12 can be easily attached to the outer peripheral surface of the duct body 10.
If clogging of 2 occurs, cover net 13
By expanding outward, the sound absorbing material 12 can be easily replaced, and maintenance work can be easily performed.

Furthermore, since the present invention uses the cover net 13 as a means for fixing the sound absorbing material 12, it is possible to easily install the sound absorbing material even in areas where it has been difficult to install the sound absorbing material, such as the elbow portion of a duct. This is an idea with extremely high practical value. Further, since the cover net of the present invention has good air permeability, it also has the effect that the effect of the anti-resonance holes formed in the duct body is not reduced.
