Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the getting-on a vehicle without being drenched in rain, snow fall, etc., by installing a rain.snow-shield which covers the upper part of a driver using a vehicle such as a bicycle and expands against the taking-up elasticity of a spiral spring by the introduction of air under pressure and expands in nearly horizontal state. CONSTITUTION:In the application for a bicycle, a starting-up member 3 having a nearly U-shape in plan view is installed through a horizontal member 2 which is demountable on the front fork of the bicycle, and an expandable bag shaped cover 7 which is made of thin vinyl, etc., and is constituted by inserting spiral springs 5,... in parallel in the longitudinal direction, into a horizontal member 4 for connecting the part between the top parts of the starting-up member 3. When not used, the cover 7 is put into taking-up state by the taking-up elasticity of the spiral springs 5,..., while in use in rainy weather, the cover 7 is expanded by introducing air under pressure into an air chamber 6 which is divided into plural parts in the cover 7 by operating a manually operated compressed air pump 9. This expansion is carried out against the taking-up elasticity of the spiral spring 5, and the cover 7 is developed finally in a horizontal state covering the upper part of a driver.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to avoiding rain and snow for vehicles. In the past, when it was raining or snowing, a bicycle had to hold an umbrella in one hand and operate the steering wheel with one hand, but it was prohibited because it was unstable and dangerous. Therefore, it is necessary to wear clothes for avoiding rain and snow, but it is inconvenient because of the heat buildup and the difficulty of putting on and taking off. The present invention has been made to solve these drawbacks. A thin vinyl-like cover provided in the longitudinal direction of a plurality of air chambers enclosing spiral springs is used to connect these air chambers. When a compressed air pump is used to pressurize the air and simultaneously inflate the air chambers of the several lines at the same time, the air is gradually inflated rearward against the winding elasticity of the spiral spring and inflated sufficiently. It is characterized in that the cover is constructed in a corrugated roof shape to completely cover the overhead and to prevent rain and snow. To explain the present invention in detail with reference to the drawings, both ends of a horizontal member 2 which is detachably attached to a front hawk 1 are risen members 3, and the tops thereof are connected by a horizontal member 4. The height of the rising member 3 can be freely adjusted to exceed the driver's overhead depending on the situation. The horizontal member 4 is attached with a cover 7 such as a thin vinyl in which a plurality of air chambers 6 each enclosing a spiral spring 5 are provided in the vertical direction. When not in use, the cover 7 is in a state of being wound due to the winding elasticity of the spiral spring 5. However, the air chambers 6 are connected to each other and an air valve 8 is provided to operate the compressed air pump 9 so that air is discharged. When press-fitting into each air chamber 6 at the same time, the air chamber 6 expands at the same time due to the air pressure and extends rearward against the winding elasticity of the spiral spring 5. Therefore, when the air is fully pressed in, as shown in the figure. The cover 7 has a corrugated flat roof shape so as to completely cover the overhead. That is, since each air chamber 6 containing the compressed air has a resilient rod shape, the cover 7 as a whole has a corrugated flat roof shape and can prevent rain and snow. When not in use, the air vent valve 10 is opened to evacuate the air in each air chamber 6 all at once, and the cover 7 is rewound by the take-up elasticity of the spiral spring to restore and hold the cover 7 to the position of the horizontal member 4.
As described above, the rain and snow avoidance according to the present invention is extremely simple in structural operation and the operation is sure, and it can be used for avoiding sunshine in summer. Moreover, it can be mounted not only on a bicycle but also on a motorcycle or a tricycle with a small original machine. It can be used as a wide range of uses.
