Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for intricate deflectors by providing freely tiltable upper and lower pinch rolls behind a cutting machine and oscillating the pinch rolls and changing the direction of the front end of a strip toward the coiler which next coils the cut front end of a strip. CONSTITUTION:The freely tiltable upper and lower pinch rolls 1, 2 are provided behind the cutting machine and the cut front end of the strip 8 is easily directionally changed toward the coiler 9 which next coils the front end by oscillating the upper and lower pinch rolls. The change over between the coilers in endless hot rolling is speeded up and, therefore, the productivity is improved. The change over from the downstream coiler to the upstream coiler is possible as well. The need for the intricate deflector is eliminated in this way and the final end of the preceding strip is retained by the upper pinch roll. The foremost end of the succeeding strip is guided by the upper pinch roll.

緩和する必要上、噛込み時の通板速度を制限する必要が
あり、また、圧延材の先端および後端の板厚および形状
調整する目的から圧延速度の変動を余儀なくされていた
。特に薄板の圧延を行う場合には通板時に圧延材の先端
部の浮上がりを防止するために巻取機のマンドレルへの
巻付き開始まで通板速度を制限していた。このように、
非連続圧延方式では、圧延速度が変動し、圧延効率が低
い上、先行圧延材の圧延と後続圧延材の圧延との間に段
取り等の無駄な時間があり設備の使用効率が低下してい
た。また、圧延材の先端および後端には仕上圧延後に形
状不良が生じ易く、生産能率が悪い等の問題があった。

り巻取機の切換を行っている。デフレクタ5aが上下す
るときのストリップ8に対する疵の発生を防ぐためにデ
フレクタ5aにはローラ6.7が設けられている。しか
し、ローラ6.7は狭いスペースに設置するため小さい
直径のものにならざるを得ない。ローラ7の直径が小さ
いためストリップ8のローラ7に当たる位置が少しずれ
ただけでストリップ8の案内方向が不安定になり、スト
リップが巻取不能になり易いという欠点がある。また、
デフレクタ5aの機構が複雑である。なお、第3図の1
.2は王ピンチロルである。

おける巻取機の切換方法に関するものであり、第1図は
本発明を好適に実施できる切換装置の説明図を示す。
