コラムに、ステアリングホイールの高さを調節す
るチルト機構が備えられている車両用ステアリン
グ装置であつて、上記チルト機構のロツクおよび
ロツク解除用のチルトレバーがステアリングコラ
ムの下側に設けられ、かつ該チルトレバーがその
基部と先端部との間で上に凸の略円弧状に湾曲さ
れていると共に、チルト機構のロツク状態で、該
チルトレバーが上記ステアリングコラムの長手方
向に沿い、かつ上記湾曲部が上方に突出してステ
アリングコラムの側方に収められるように設けら
れていることを特徴とする車両用ステアリング装
