Abstract

PURPOSE:To machine a wire line form with a sharp angle without using any other thin wire in particular by installing a device, capable of forming a part of the line surface of an electrode of the wire line so sharply as an acute angle in going along the line by means of electric discharge machining(EDM), in a wire electric discharge machine. CONSTITUTION:A wire electric discharge machine with an electrode forming device makes electricity flow into a wire line from a working power source 8 through a current energizing part 9, letting water and oil flow out of a water- oil feeding guide, through which the wire line is machined by a wire forming electrode unit 10. An electrode is made to stand face-to-face with a wire in the vertical or horizontal direction and the round wire is machined into, for example a D type. With the required wire electrode formed, an object form is easily and accurately secured while requiring no other special wire line.

(Effects of the invention) Conventional thin wire electric discharge machines require thin electrode wires, but this machine does not require this and is equipped with an electrode molding device that can set a large number of molded electrodes, so the machining moving parts can be raised. It is extremely advantageous to be able to do so.
