Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a herbicide having good selective herbicidal activities against weed, especially the weed in rice by using a mixture of benfuresate and dymrone as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: This herbicide includes (A) benfuresate (2,3-dihydro-3,3- dimethyl-5-benzofuranylethanesulfonate) and (B) dymrone [1-(4-methylphenyl)-3-(1- methyl-1-phenylethyl)urea] in (1:10) to (1:1) weight ratio of components A to B as an active ingredient. The herbicide is used for a weed or a gene thereof, and especially suitable for control of a weed in rice because having an antagonistic activities (toxicity-emollient activities) against a cultivated plant, especially the rice.
