Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title feed having high absorption rate, hardly having accumulating properties, oxidizable in lever, consumable as energy, containing a middle-chain fatty acid triglyceride. CONSTITUTION:The objective feed containing 8-12C a middle-chain fatty acid triglyceride (MCT). The amount of MCT added is >=0.5wt.%, preferably 1.0-15wt.% in the case of pork and preferably 1.0-10wt.% in the case of beef.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a fattening feed for meat livestock, and more specifically, a nutritional effect that improves the weight gain and meat quality of meat livestock during the growth period, and an effect that improves feed efficiency. The present invention relates to a fattening feed for meat and livestock having the following properties.

In recent years, compound feeds for meat livestock have tended to be concentrated feeds designed to be high in protein and high in calories, with the aim of increasing feed efficiency and weight gain. However, feeding such concentrated feed causes great physiological stress on meat animals, putting a strain on the liver, which plays an important role in physiological functions, causing enlargement of the liver and abnormal accumulation of lipids, which has a negative impact on the animals. affect In addition, such fattening feeds contain large amounts of animal fats and oils as an energy source, and although these additions improved body weight gain, they also increased back fat and body fat. These fats have a significantly lower commercial value than muscle, and fat deposits in the horns mean wasted feed energy, so fatty carcasses are a cause of lower economic value.

In order to solve these problems, methods such as reducing the amount of added fats and oils and administering drugs, feed additives, etc. are being considered, but the problems have not been solved yet.

The absorption system for MCT used in the present invention is the lymphatic system for conventional long chain fatty acid triglycerides (LMT).
Since it is carried out in the portal vein system, it is absorbed quickly and has the characteristics that it does not accumulate and most of it is oxidized in the liver and consumed as energy.

On the other hand, the fattening feed for meat livestock of the present invention has a relatively low MCT content, so palatability is not impaired, and when given to meat livestock in an appropriate amount, it can increase the salary of meat livestock and improve meat quality. It is something that can be done.

Traditionally, fattening feed for meat and livestock uses corn as the main ingredient.
Cereals such as milo and soybean meal are used, and nutritional materials such as oils and fats, sugars, proteins, vitamins, and minerals are used as other ingredients. In the present invention, the above-mentioned MCT is used as a substitute for oils and fats. , the object of the present invention can be achieved by adding it as a new component.

In the present invention, meat livestock refers to cows that have finished feeding milk replacer and are at the end of fattening, with a weight of 70 kg or more that allows them to eat enough roughage, and pigs that have finished feeding on artificial milk after weaning. The term refers to those with a weight of 20 kg or more at the end of fattening.
