Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a wallet.

When using a wallet in daily life, if the coin pocket in a wallet is of a normal depth, to take out a specific coin, one must look into the coin pocket and separate it from the other coins. Patent Document 1 improves on this by making the coin pocket long and narrow, with a depth of about the depth of a single coin, improving the visibility of the coins and making it easier to take out a specific coin, and by arranging the coin pocket so that it does not overlap with the card storage area, the size and thickness of the wallet is reduced.

However, in Patent Document 1, the lid-like cover on the opening of the coin pocket gets in the way, making it impossible to pour multiple coins into a deep coin pocket, which is often done, and there is the inconvenience of having to carefully pick the coins in. Patent Document 2 improves on this by providing a wide-opening cap at the coin pocket opening to make it easier to insert coins, but the cumbersome task of having to open the cap to insert and remove coins remains. In addition, in Patent Document 3, there is no cap or metal fittings on the opening of the coin pocket, making it extremely easy to see the coins when the wallet is opened, but when coins are poured into the pocket, they go into the card storage section at the front, so there is the inconvenience of having to pick the coins in, just like in Patent Document 1.

The wallet of the present invention has a structure in which the storage parts (2 in Fig. 1-1) are sandwiched between the outer shells (1 in Fig. 1-1) and are opened vertically when used (Fig. 1-2). The outer shell may be made of two independent upper (1-1 in Fig. 1-3) and lower (1-2 in Fig. 1-3) shells that are stacked together (Fig. 1-1), or one long shell may be folded (Fig. 1-1'). The outer shell may be a single layer or multiple layers, and if multiple layers are used, the materials of each layer may be the same or different, and some of the layers may be core materials that reinforce the bending strength. When the outer shell is lifted horizontally using an edge as a fulcrum, it has a bending strength that does not hang down from just beyond the lifted fulcrum. The drawings in this application show an example in which the outer shell is divided into two layers and each shell is multi-layered.

When the upper and lower skins are separate (Fig. 1-1), one end of the overlapping upper and lower skins (3 in Fig. 1-1) is fixed in a straight line by sewing, adhesive, or metal fittings. When one long skin is folded back (Fig. 1-1'), the position parallel to and close to the seam (3 in Fig. 1-1') is fixed in a straight line by sewing, adhesive, or metal fittings. This creates a structure in which the bending strength of the skins always acts in the direction of closing the skins together.

The upper and lower outer skins may be provided with a concave curvature toward the storage part in the area close to the joint of the outer skins (1-4 in Fig. 1-3) so that the storage part does not spread out when sandwiched.

The storage part (2 in Fig. 1-1) consists of a coin pocket (2-1 in Fig. 1-3), a coin holder (2-2 in Fig. 1-3), and a card pocket (2-3 in Fig. 1-3).

The coin pocket has a depth (Lh in Fig. 1-3) that is about 1 mm shorter than the smallest diameter of a coin, a thickness (Ld in Fig. 1-3) within 10 mm, and a width (Lw in Fig. 1-3) that is oblong and approximately the width of the outer skin material. The back wall of the coin pocket is a coin receiver (2-2 in Fig. 2-2) that extends beyond the opening of the coin pocket and is large enough to hold multiple coins, and one corner of the upper part of the coin receiver may be cut off to identify banknotes.

When the wallet of the present invention is opened vertically, a card pocket (2-3 in Fig. 2-1) is provided vertically below the coin pocket, with the same thickness and width as the coin pocket, an opening on the coin pocket side, and a diagonal opening on the surface facing the upper outer skin material.

With the back side of the storage part facing the outer skin material, the opening of the coin pocket is brought close to the seam of the outer skin material, and the outer skin material is opened at a right angle, at the center of the part that hangs over the seam of the coin receiver (1-3 in Figure 2-1) and at a position where the distance between the upper and lower outer skin materials (d and d' in Figure 3-1) is 3 to 5 mm, one end of the lengthwise direction of the storage part is fixed in a straight line to the outer skin material by sewing, adhesive or metal fittings, straddling the seam , as shown in 3 in Figure 2-1, and also the end of the storage part in the short direction that faces the lower outer skin material is fixed in a straight line to the outer skin material by sewing, adhesive or metal fittings.

As a result of the above-mentioned fixation of the outer shell and the storage parts, when the angle between the upper and lower outer shell materials is less than a right angle, as shown in Figure 3-1, the coin receiver connected to the upper and lower outer shell materials blocks the movement of coins at the end of the opening of the coin pocket, and when a force is applied that increases the angle beyond that, the coin receiver is stretched and the resulting tensile stress is added to the bending strength of the outer shell material, reinforcing the force that brings the upper and lower outer shell materials together and closes them . As shown in FIG. 1-1, in the wallet of the present invention, the upper and lower outer skins are normally closed at an acute angle due to the bending strength of the outer skin, and when in use, the upper and lower outer skins are spread apart with fingers to form an obtuse angle as shown in FIG. 1-2. However, when the fingers are removed as shown in FIG. 3-3 and the opening of the coin pocket faces downward and the coin presses down on the outer skin due to its own weight, or when the force spreading the upper and lower outer skins is lost due to being dropped, the tensile stress is added to the force that brings the upper and lower outer skins together and closes them due to the bending strength of the outer skin, and the upper and lower outer skins are returned to an angle that blocks the movement of the coin just beyond the opening of the coin pocket more strongly and quickly, thereby preventing the coin from flying out.

The card pocket has a continuous opening on the side facing the bottom of the coin pocket and on the side facing the upper outer skin material, so even if a coin slides past the coin pocket when being poured into the coin pocket, the card pocket can catch it.

A hook (4 in Fig. 3) is attached to the tip of the upper outer skin (1 in Fig. 3) on the opposite side of the seam of the outer skin, and the wallet body is kept in a closed state (Fig. 3-2) by hanging it in a hook receiving slit (5 in Fig. 3) on the upper outer skin side at the rear end of the card pocket.

The upper outer shell and storage parts are only fixed on one side and at the rear end, so bills are placed between the outer shell and storage parts from the top of the wallet and the unfixed side (6-1 in Fig. 1-2).

When you pinch the top of the stored card and pull it toward you, the card pocket bends, allowing you to easily pull out the card while avoiding the coin pocket that holds the card down from above. When you put the card into the card pocket, the bottom of the coin pocket holds down the top of the card to prevent it from falling out.

When using the wallet of the present invention, as shown in Figure 1-2, if you hold the upper outer shell open with the fingers of your open hand, you can insert and remove bills, coins, and cards all in the same direction without having to change the way you hold the wallet or change the angle depending on what you are taking in or out.

Claims (3)
