Description
<積層セラミックコンデンサ>
本実施形態に係る電子部品の一例としての積層セラミックコンデンサ1が図1に示される。積層セラミックコンデンサ1は、誘電体層2と、内部電極層3と、が交互に積層された構成の素子本体10を有する。この素子本体10の両端部には、素子本体10の内部で交互に配置された内部電極層3と各々導通する一対の外部電極4が形成してある。素子本体10の形状に特に制限はないが、通常、直方体状とされる。また、素子本体10の寸法にも特に制限はなく、用途に応じて適当な寸法とすればよい。
誘電体層2は、後述する本実施形態に係る誘電体組成物から構成されている。
本実施形態では、内部電極層3は、各端部が素子本体10の対向する2端面の表面に交互に露出するように積層してある。
外部電極4に含有される導電材は特に限定されない。たとえばニッケル(Ni)、銅(Cu)、スズ(Sn)、Ag、Pd、Pt、金(Au)あるいはこれらの合金、導電性樹脂等公知の導電材を用いればよい。外部電極4の厚さは用途等に応じて適宜決定すればよい。
本実施形態に係る誘電体層2を構成する誘電体組成物は、ストロンチウム(Sr)およびタンタル(Ta)を主成分として含む。本実施形態に係る誘電体組成物は、さらにバリウム(Ba)を主成分として含むことが好ましい。
次に、図1に示す積層セラミックコンデンサ1の製造方法の一例について説明する。
<薄膜キャパシタ>
本実施形態に係る薄膜キャパシタ11の模式図を図2に示す。図2に示す薄膜キャパシタ11は、基板111上に下部電極112、誘電体薄膜113の順に形成され、誘電体薄膜113の表面に上部電極114を備える。
次に、薄膜キャパシタ11の製造方法について説明する。
<試料番号1~5>
試料番号1~5では、誘電体組成物の出発原料として、焼成により表1に記載の各成分となる原料を準備した。表1に記載の組成式の金属元素比となるように、準備した出発原料(粉末)を秤量した。
コンデンサ試料に対し、室温(20℃)において、デジタルLCRメータ(YHP社製4284A)にて、周波数1kHz、入力信号レベル(測定電圧)1Vrmsの信号を入力し、静電容量Cおよびtanδを測定した。そして、比誘電率を、焼結体の厚みと、有効電極面積と、測定の結果得られた静電容量Cとに基づき算出した。結果を表1に示す。
誘電体組成物の密度は以下のようにして測定した。まず、誘電体組成物の体積Vを算出した。続いて、円盤状の誘電体組成物の質量mを測定し、m/Vを計算することで誘電体組成物の密度を得た。結果を表1に示す。
コンデンサ試料に対して、基準温度(25℃)において、デジタル抵抗メータ(ADVANTEST社製R8340)を用いて絶縁抵抗を測定した。得られた絶縁抵抗と、有効電極面積と、誘電体組成物の厚みとから、抵抗率を算出した。結果を表1に示す。
<試料番号21~26、31~34>
試料番号21~26、31~34では、誘電体組成物の出発原料の成分および添加量を下記の通りとし、焼成保持温度を1550℃とした以外は、実験1と同様にして誘電体組成物を得て、密度、比誘電率、誘電損失および抵抗率を調べた。また、結晶系は下記の方法により調べた。結果を表2および表3に示す。なお、試料番号21~26、31~34では、いずれの場合においても、-70~180℃の温度範囲において、比誘電率が70以上となることが確認できた。
得られた誘電体組成物について電子線回折を行い、電子線回折図形を分析することで結晶系を解析した。
<試料番号41~45>
試料番号41~45では、各試料において焼成温度を1375~1500℃の範囲で変化させた以外は試料番号1と同様にして誘電体組成物(焼結体)の密度、比誘電率、誘電損失および抵抗率を測定した。結果を表4および図4~図6に示す。

Claims (6)
- 主成分が{Ba x Sr (1-x) } m Ta 4 O 12 で表され、
xは0.1~0.75であり、
mは1.9~2.1であり、
比誘電率が100以上である誘電体組成物。 - 実質的にチタン、ニオブ、アルカリ金属および鉛を含まない請求項1に記載の誘電体組成物。
- xは0.1以上0.5未満である請求項1または2に記載の誘電体組成物。
- xは0.1以上0.25以下である請求項3に記載の誘電体組成物。
- 前記主成分の結晶の結晶系は正方晶系である請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の誘電体組成物。
- 請求項1~5のいずれかに記載の誘電体組成物を備える電子部品。
