Description

The present invention relates to a method for fastening an obi belt in Japanese clothing and a belt pillow holder used for this purpose.

Standard Japanese clothing is completed by putting on a kimono over a long undergarment, tying the obi into a specific shape using accessories such as an obi pillow and obi age, and tightening the obijime. The complicated procedure is said to be one of the reasons why people shy away from Japanese clothing. In particular, tying the obi requires using a temporary string and putting your hands around the back to adjust the shape of the obi wrapped around the torso so that it does not lose its shape, and this task requires skill to put on by one person. Furthermore, even for experienced people, tying the obi using the traditional method can become difficult as a result of changes in age or body shape.

In recent years, methods have been proposed to make it easier and faster to put on Japanese clothing, such as by using auxiliary tools when tying the obi or by changing the shape and tying method of the obi. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a method in which a first obi for wrapping around the waist and a second obi for forming the obi are connected with a string as separate pieces. Specifically, after tying the first obi into a single loop knot, the folded side of the second obi is passed from the bottom to the top of the first obi, and the connecting string is passed through the loop formed by the second obi and the knot of the first obi and tied to tightly tie the two obi together to form the obi.

Patent Document 2 also discloses a method in which a belt such as a Nagoya obi is folded in advance to form a taiko base body, a drum pillow and an endless carrying strap are stored inside, and the taiko base body is carried on the back via the carrying strap while the belt is tied. The belt on the opposite side of the taiko base body is wrapped around the torso and temporarily secured with a clip, and a waist cord for temporary fastening is inserted into the taiko base body. When tying the taiko belt, a clip is used to fix the positions of the belt bodies from the formation of the taiko base body until tying is complete, marking the folding position, and an obijime (belt fastener) is worn at the end of tying the taiko belt.

Alternatively, as disclosed in Patent Document 3, a method is known in which the obi is tied in front of the wearer and then moved to the back. In this case, a belt pillow is attached to the front side together with the obi and the obi is tied, and it is necessary to maintain the shape of the obi and rotate the obi smoothly. Therefore, Patent Document 3 proposes the use of a clip-shaped obi tying holder that clamps the obi wrapped around the torso and has a belt pillow holder, and an obi tying aid to make the obi slide more smoothly when turned. The obi tying aid is configured so that the sheet-shaped aid main body, which is larger than the width of the obi, is attached on the kimono before tying the obi and removed after turning.

In the method of Patent Document 1, the first obi is fastened with a single loop knot, making it easy to put on without the need for adjustments based on differences in body size. However, not only is it necessary to prepare separate first and second obi and tie two different obi ties, but the two obi ties must be tied while being tightened in the middle, making it difficult to put on at the back by one person. For this reason, a method is shown in which the obi is tied at the front and then turned to the back, after which a rubber cord that acts as an obi sash is passed through the drum part and held in the front, but it is not necessarily easy to rotate the obi while maintaining its shape.

On the other hand, the method of Patent Document 2 simplifies the task of tying the taiko obi on the back by forming the taiko original body without tying a single obi, storing the taiko pillow etc. in advance, and carrying it on the back using the gap. However, not only is the process of forming the taiko original body using waist strings, pillow strings etc. complicated and time-consuming, but it is also not easy to handle because the taiko original body is only temporarily fastened with clips, and the obi pillow etc. is also stored inside. As a result, there is a risk that the shape will be distorted when carrying it on the back or when the temporary fastening is released after carrying it on the back, and it cannot be said to be a suitable method for beginners to easily put on the obi.

In addition, the method of Patent Document 3 requires the preparation of an obi tying holder and an obi tying aid in order to form a drum shape on the front side of the wearer and then move it to the back side. The obi tying holder has a complex structure in which outer and inner plate-shaped members with different protruding lengths from the obi are integrated by a coil spring and a screw so that they can rotate, and the obi pillow installation part is fixed at a specified inclination angle to the side of the outer plate-shaped member with the shorter protruding length. The obi tying aid uses a sheet-like aid main body made of a smooth woven fabric with a flat rubber band and hook-and-loop fastener, both of which are difficult for an individual to prepare. In addition, after moving the obi, it is necessary to remove the wide obi tying aid from under the obi and re-tie the temporarily fastened obiage and obijime, which may cause the shape to become distorted in the process.

The present invention was made in light of this background, and aims to provide a method for forming a drum-shaped knot on the back side of the wearer using an existing obi, making it possible to put on the obi in a simpler procedure than before, and a obi pillow holder for use in putting on the obi.

and a sixth step of tying the hanging fixing string around the wearer's torso to fix the drum part and storing the hanging fixing string exposed on the front side of the wearer inside the waist wrapping part.

In this way, by using the obi pillow holder and the hanging fixing string in steps 3 to 6, it becomes easy to form the drum-shaped part on the back side, and the drum-shaped part formed by wrapping the hand end side can be fixed without using an obi tightening belt. This makes it possible to fix only the waist wrapping part using the obi tightening belt in steps 1 and 2, and since there is no need to re-tighten the obi tightening belt, the waist wrapping part becomes stable. It also eliminates the need for the steps of tying the obi and forming the drum-shaped part on the wearer's front side, then moving to the back side, and further attaching and detaching temporary strings and small items for temporary fastening. Therefore, the obi can be worn with a good appearance in a simpler process than before, without cutting a single obi.

The above-mentioned other aspects of the belt pillow holder are suitable for use in such belt wearing methods, and in the fourth step, the flexible sheet-like main body is in a state where it protrudes from the waistband part, and the belt pillow can be sandwiched between the main body and the wearer's back. This allows the belt peak to be stably held in a predetermined position when forming the drum part in the fifth step, making it easier to adjust the size of the drum part and the shape of the hanging part.

As described above, according to the above aspect, it is possible to provide a method for forming a drum knot shape on the back side of the wearer using an existing obi, allowing the obi to be put on with simpler steps than conventional methods, and a obi pillow holder for use in putting on the obi.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of a method for wearing an obi and an obi pillow holder will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in Fig. 1, in this embodiment, the process of wearing an obi 1 includes the steps of forming and fixing the waistband part 3 (first and second steps), forming and positioning the obi peak 21 of the drum part 2 (third and fourth steps), and forming and fixing the hanging part 22 of the drum part 2 (fifth and sixth steps). At each step, a predetermined small item is used. As will be described in detail later, the obi can be easily worn by sequentially performing these first to sixth steps (corresponding to steps (1) to (6) shown in Fig. 1).

As shown in Figure 2, the obi 1 has a first portion 11 that becomes the drum portion 2, and a second portion 12 that becomes the body wrapping portion 3. As shown by the arrows in Figure 2, the first portion 11 includes a portion that becomes the obi peak 21 when the drum portion 2 is formed, and a portion located on the opposite side that becomes the hanging portion 22.

Typical accessories used to put on the obi 1 include the obijime 4, obi pillow 5, and obi sash 51 shown in Figure 2, as well as an obi board (not shown). The obijime 4 is used to secure the torso part 3 in the second step, and the obi pillow 5 is used to form the obi mountain 21 of the drum part 2 and to fix it in position in the third and fourth steps. The obi pillow 5 (see the lower diagram in Figure 3) is wrapped in the obi sash 51 beforehand.

In addition to these general small items, in steps 3 to 6, a belt pillow holder 10 shown in the upper diagram of Figure 3 and a hanging fixing string 6 (see Figure 2) are used to shape the drum part 2 into a predetermined shape. The belt pillow holder 10 is used in the fourth step to hold the belt pillow 5 and form the belt peak 21 of the drum part 2, and can be made into a sheet-like shape of various shapes as shown in Figure 4. The hanging fixing string 6 is used in steps 5 and 6 to determine the size of the drum part 2 and the length of the hanging part 22, as well as to fix the drum part 2 in place.

As shown in FIG. 5, the wearer can place the belt pillow holder 10 in a predetermined position after putting on the kimono before putting on the obi 1. In that case, it is recommended that a part of the belt pillow holder 10 is supported by the belt accessory 31 placed under the belt. There are no particular restrictions on the way the kimono is put on or the kimono to be worn, and any kimono may be worn in a general manner. The belt pillow holder 10 and the belt accessory 31 will be described in detail later.

When putting on a kimono, which is a step before putting on the obi 1, generally a long undergarment with a collar core and half-collar attached is worn over an undergarment such as a hadajuban, and the length of the kimono worn over them is adjusted to suit the wearer. In the case of a kimono of normal length, the desired length can be adjusted by using accessories such as a waist cord or datejime to adjust the length of the hem. Alternatively, a full-length kimono can be used, the length of which has already been adjusted to suit the wearer.

Preferably, a full-length kimono eliminates the need to adjust the length of the hem, making the dressing process easier. This shortens the time it takes to put on the kimono, and also allows some small items, such as waist strings for adjusting the hem, to be omitted.

Next, the first to sixth steps are carried out to put the obi 1 on the kimono.
When wearing the obi 1 according to the steps shown in Fig. 1, first, the second portion 12 is wrapped around to form the waist wrapping portion 3 (first step), and the waist wrapping portion 3 is fixed by the obi fastener 4 (second step). Next, the waist belt pillow 5 and the obi sash 51 are placed on the first portion 11 to form the belt peak 21 of the drum portion 2 (third step), and further, the belt peak 21 of the drum portion 2 is positioned at a predetermined position using the sheet-like belt pillow holder 10 (fourth step). After that, the hanging portion 22 is formed on the drum portion 2 using the hanging portion fixing string 6 (fifth step), the hanging portion fixing string 6 is tied to fix the drum portion 2, and the exposed hanging portion fixing string 6 is tucked away (sixth step), completing the obi shape.

Below, the procedures for each step and the preparation of small items will be explained in order.
The obi 1 to be worn may be a single belt used for normal tying, for example, a Nagoya obi tailored to a length suitable for a single drum. Nagoya obi generally have a half-width portion wrapped around the torso, and a total length of approximately 360 cm to 380 cm.

The type and dimensions of the obi 1 are not particularly limited and can be selected as desired depending on the purpose and the wearer's body type. For example, the obi may be an obi that is tailored to a uniform width throughout, or it may be a Kyo fukuro obi of similar length to a Nagoya obi (for example, a total length of about 400 cm or less), or a fukuro obi that is longer than a Nagoya obi (for example, a total length of about 450 cm or less).

As shown in Figure 7, in the first step, the second portion 12 of the long obi 1 is wrapped around the kimono worn in the previous step to form the torso wrapping portion 3. Specifically, in the longitudinal direction X of the obi, the first portion 11 that will become the drum portion 2 is left on the hanging end side of the obi 1, and the second portion 12 on the hand end side is wrapped around the wearer's torso. In this way, a predetermined length of the second portion 12 from the hand end is wrapped around the torso, leaving a sufficient length on the hanging end side, to form the torso wrapping portion 3.

At this time, it is preferable to fold back a portion of the second portion 12 shown in FIG. 6 on the hand end side to provide a folded portion 121. The folded portion 121 is placed mainly on the innermost side of the waistband portion 3 on the front side of the wearer, and reinforces the waistband portion 3. The length of the folded portion 121 is, for example, a length that covers about half or more of the wearer's waist (e.g., about 50 cm), and can be adjusted according to the length of the obi 1 and the wearer's body type. The waistband portion 3 is formed by placing the folded portion 121 and the second portion 12 that overlaps the outside of it on the front side, and wrapping the remaining part of the second portion 12 around once or more.

This shortens the effective wrapping length of the second portion 12, facilitating the formation of the torso portion 3, and also makes the front side of the torso portion 3 thicker than the back side, stabilizing the shape and making it easier to fasten the obi-jime 4 in the next step. Note that if the shape of the second portion 12 of the obi 1 does not allow for a obi plate to be stored therein, for example, in the first step, a obi plate may be inserted between the folded portion 121 and the second portion 12 located outside it.

As shown in FIG. 8, in the second step, the waist wrapping part 3 wrapped around the wearer's torso is secured using an obijime 4. Specifically, the obijime 4 is wrapped around the waist wrapping part 3 from the outside, and then fastened at the front of the wearer to secure the waist wrapping part 3. The obijime 4 is fastened in a manner similar to the normal procedure, in which both ends wrapped around the waist wrapping part 3 from the back to the front are knotted in a regular knot at the middle position in the obi width direction Y, and both ends are secured by pinching them near the sides.

The type and dimensions of the obijime 4 are not particularly limited, and flat or round braided cords of common lengths (for example, from about 150 cm to about 180 cm) can be used. In addition, for example, the middle part of the obijime 4 located on the back side can be tied, and the obijime 4 can be adjusted to any length according to the wearer's body type, making it easier to handle the obijime 4 when tying it and to clean up the ends.

As a result, the torso wrapping section 3 consisting of the second portion 12 including the hand tip is fixed by the obi-jime 4. In other words, the obi-jime 4 is not used to form or fix the drum section 2 in the process described below, but is used to fix only the torso wrapping section 3. Therefore, at this stage, the obi-jime 4 can be tightly fastened, the knot shape can be adjusted, and the torso wrapping section 3 can be firmly fixed. In addition, since no temporary strings are used, there is no need to take the time to re-tie or remove the temporary strings, and there is little risk of the torso wrapping section 3 becoming loose during the process of forming the drum section 2.

As shown in Figures 2 and 3 (see top diagram), it is desirable to wrap the obi pillow 5 in the obi sash 51 prior to the third step. The middle part of the obi sash 51 can be sewn into a bag-like shape (for example, about 20 cm to 25 cm; see the bottom diagram of Figure 3) to adjust the length according to the wearer's body type, etc., making it easier to handle and clean up when tying the obi sash 51 in the fourth step. In this case, the obi pillow 5 may be stored in the bag-like part. It is desirable to hold the sheet-like obi pillow holder 10 inside the waist wrapping part 3 prior to the fourth step. The obi accessory 31 can be, for example, a datejime or obijime, or a thin belt-like accessory with an equivalent function, and can be any accessory that is wrapped around the waist when the kimono is put on to adjust the shape of the kimono. A part of the obi pillow holder 10 is held inside it, and in this state, the waist wrapping part 3 is placed on the outside of them.

In the upper diagram of FIG. 3, the obi pillow holder 10 has a main body 101 made of a flexible sheet material. Preferably, the main body 101 is formed into an elongated shape, and more preferably, it has an outer shape without corners. Specifically, the outer shape of the main body 101 can be an oval shape including an egg shape, an ellipse shape, an oval shape, an oval shape including an oval shape, an ellipse shape, an oval shape, or an elongated polygonal shape with rounded corners, or a shape similar to these shapes. The sheet material may be a thin plate-like material that can be appropriately flexed or elastically deformed to hold the obi pillow 5. For example, a synthetic resin sheet material with a thickness of about 1 mm to 5 mm can be cut into the desired shape to form the obi pillow holder 10. The obi pillow holder 10 is preferably formed so that it is hidden inside the drum part 2 during the process of forming and fixing it, and there are no particular restrictions on the color and pattern of the sheet material. However, for example, if it is formed relatively large, a color that is not conspicuous, such as a color similar to the color of the obi 1, kimono, or accessories such as the obi sash 51, or no color, can be selected. The type and thickness of the sheet material can be selected, for example, according to the size and shape of the main body part 101 so that the main body part 101 has the desired flexibility and elasticity and can press the obi pillow 5 against the back side of the wearer and hold it well. The main body part 101 may be formed of a laminate of overlapping sheet materials to provide appropriate retention and strength.

In the upper diagram of FIG. 3, one end of the main body 101 of the belt pillow holder 10 is the support part 101a of the belt pillow 5, and the other end is the side that is held by the obi accessory 31. In this case, the support part 101a and the held side may be interchanged. Also, the belt pillow holder 10 may have other parts attached to the main body 101 as long as it has a long and slender main body 101 and is configured to hold the belt pillow 5. Here, an example is shown that is composed only of the main body 101, but for example, the entire main body 101 may be covered with cloth or the like, or a pair of strings may be fixed to both sides of the main body 101 in the short direction and tied around the torso. In that case, if the color of the cloth or string is the same as the color of the obi 1, kimono, or accessories such as the obi sash 51, it will be less noticeable.

When used on the back side of the wearer as shown in FIG. 7, the bolster holder 10 is supported on the inside of the waistband 3 with its elongated main body 101. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5, the obi accessory 31 is located inside the waistband 3, and the end of the main body 101 opposite the support part 101a is held and fixed on the inside. In this state, it is desirable that the longitudinal direction of the main body 101 is the obi width direction Y of the waistband 3, that is, that the elongated main body 101 is arranged vertically on the back side of the wearer. In this case, it becomes easier to insert the main body 101 into the obi accessory 31, and it is also easier to ensure the insertion length of the main body 101 and the length of the support part 101a protruding from the waistband 3.

As shown in Figure 9, in the third step, the obi pillow 5 is wrapped in the obi sash 51 and placed inside the first part 11 to form the obi ridge 21 of the taiko part 2. At this time, the position of the obi ridge 21 is determined according to the handle and length of the first part 11 so that the taiko part 2 has the desired final shape, and the obi pillow 5 and obi sash 51 are held on the inside of the obi pillow 5 and obi sash 51.

As shown in Figure 10, in the fourth step, the belt pillow holder 10 is used to place and position the belt peak 21 at a predetermined position. In this state, the belt peak 21 of the drum part 2 is lifted (see the left diagram in Figure 10), and the belt peak 21 of the drum part 2 is positioned so that the belt pillow 5 is held between the belt pillow holder 10 and the back of the wearer (see the right diagram in Figure 10).

9, the sheet-like belt pillow holder 10 has an elongated main body 101 arranged vertically with the belt width direction Y of the waist wrapping part 3 as the longitudinal direction, and a part of it is supported inside the waist wrapping part 3. At this time, preferably, the support part 101a of the belt pillow holder 10 protruding from the waist wrapping part 3 can be grasped with one hand of the wearer and easily bent and deformed toward the side away from the back (see the left diagram of FIG. 10). At the same time, the belt mountain 21 can be lifted with the other hand and placed in the space formed between the back and the belt pillow 5 inside it can be held by the belt pillow holder 10. In the process, the intermediate part 13 between the first part 11 that will become the drum part 2 and the second part 12 that will become the waist wrapping part 3 is stored between the belt mountain 21 of the drum part 2 and the waist wrapping part 3. At this time, the shape of the intermediate part 13 can be adjusted in advance so that it has an appropriate bulge inside the drum part 2.

The size of the obi pillow holder 10 is not particularly limited, but can usually be made approximately equal to or smaller than the external shape of the obi pillow 5 (see FIG. 5). Specifically, if the longitudinal length of the elongated main body 101 is shorter than the longitudinal length of the obi pillow 5, for example, approximately equal to the transverse length of the obi pillow 5, it will easily fit on the back side of the waist wrapping part 3 and can stably hold the obi pillow 5 by protruding moderately from the waist wrapping part 3. In that case, as an example, the longitudinal length of the main body 101 can be set to approximately 7 cm to 15 cm (for example, about 12 cm), and the transverse length can be set to a shorter length (for example, about 7 cm).

In this way, the obi pillow holder 10 only needs to be formed so that at least a portion of the main body 101 is held by the obi accessory 31 on the inside of the waistband 3, and the support part 101a of the main body 101 is long enough to protrude from the waistband 3, and also needs to be made of a material and have a shape that allows it to bend and deform moderately to form a space between the wearer's back to hold the obi pillow 5.

Then, after putting on the obi belt accessory 31, the obi belt holder 10 is inserted from the wearer's head side, and the second part 12, which will become the waistband part 3 in the first step, is wrapped around it. At this time, the length of insertion into the obi belt accessory 31 can be adjusted according to their positional relationship so that the support part 101a of the main part 101 protrudes from the waistband part 3, which is wider than the obi belt accessory 31. Preferably, if the insertion length is shortened within a range that allows the obi belt holder 10 to be held, the protruding length of the obi belt holder 10 will be longer, and the obi belt 5 can be positioned more stably. As an example, the length of the obi pillow holder 10 is adjusted so that half or less (e.g., about 1/5 to 1/4) of the length is held inside the obi accessory 31, and a fifth or more (e.g., about 1/4 to 1/3) of the length of the obi pillow holder 10 protrudes from the waistband 3 as the support 101a of the main body 101.

As a result, the obi pillow holder 10 is sandwiched between the obi accessory 31 and the kimono inside the waistband 3, making the work in the fourth step easier and allowing the obi mountain 21 to be positioned while preventing the obi pillow holder 10 from shifting out of position. This makes it easier to form the drum part 2 in the subsequent step, and makes it possible to stably maintain the shape of the drum part 2.

The obi belt accessory 31 used here is an obi belt that has a suitable thickness and is placed under the obi belt for body shape correction, etc., and together with the waist wrap part 3 that is wrapped around it, it can stably hold the main body part 101 of the obi pillow holder 10. The obi belt accessory 31 is not limited to an obi belt, and it can also be a datejime or a belt-like accessory with the same function.

Next, as shown in Figure 11, the obiage 51 can be tied at the front side of the wearer to position and fix the taiko section 2. The obiage 51 can be tied in a manner similar to the normal procedure, in which both ends of the obiage 51 exposed on either side of the obi pillow holder 10 are wrapped around the waist part 3 and tied to the front side, and both ends are stored inside the waist part 3 and the knot is adjusted. The obiage 51 can be any type that can be held by the obi pillow holder 10 while wrapping the obi pillow 5, and there are no particular limitations on the type, size, etc.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 12, in the fifth step, the size of the drum part 2 is determined using the hanging fixing string 6, and the hanging part 22 exposed from the drum part 2 is formed. Specifically, the hanging fixing string 6 is first placed along the side edge of the torso part 3 opposite the side where the obi pillow holder 10 protrudes, i.e., on the opposite side of the obiage 51 in FIG. 12, along the torso part 3 (see the right diagram in FIG. 12), and then the hanging fixing string 6 is placed inside the first part 11 facing that side edge, and a part of the hanging end side of the hanging fixing string 6 is folded inward (see the left diagram in FIG. 12). As a result, the size of the drum part 2 is determined according to the width of the torso part 3, and the length of the hanging exposed below the drum part 2 can be adjusted to form the hanging part 22.

Then, as shown in Figure 13, in the sixth step, the hanging fixing string 6 is tied and stored to form the single-drum shaped drum section 2. Specifically, the hanging fixing string 6 is tied around the wearer's torso to fix the drum section 2 (see the left diagram in Figure 13), and the hanging fixing string 6 exposed on the front side of the wearer is stored inside the waistband section 3, thereby forming the drum section 2 of the desired size and shape (see the right diagram in Figure 13).

The hanging fixing string 6 is arranged along the inside of the first part 11, which is the lower end of the drum part 2, and fixes the shape of the drum part 2 by tying both ends that are wrapped from the back side to the front side along the opposing side edge of the torso part 3. The knot and both ends that are exposed when tied on the front side can be pushed inward from the side edge of the torso part 3 and stored inside. At this time, the hanging fixing string 6 aligns the lower end position of the drum part 2 with the side edge of the torso part 3 and maintains this state, so a good appearance can be maintained.

The hanging fixing string 6 may be, for example, a narrow, flat string as shown in the figure. The hanging fixing string 6 is not particularly limited in type, size, color, pattern, etc., as long as it can maintain the size of the drum part 2 and the length of the hanging part 22, and may be a flat elastic string with elasticity, or may be fixed with a hook-and-loop fastener instead of tying. The hanging fixing string 6 may be of an appropriate length (e.g., about 120 cm or more) that can be easily tied and stored around the wearer's torso, and can be adjusted as desired according to the wearer's body type, etc.

As shown in Figure 14, if a thin string of the same color as the obi 1 is selected as the hanging fixing string 6, the exposed portion 61 will be barely noticeable even if the obi 1 is not completely tucked inside the waist wrap portion 3 on both sides of the drum portion 2. If a fukuro obi, which is longer than a Nagoya obi, is used as the obi 1, the same process as that using the hanging fixing string 6 can be used to double the first portion 11 that will become the drum portion 2 in the usual manner, adjust the size of the drum portion 2 and the length of the hanging portion 22, and secure it with the hanging fixing string 6 to create a double-drum shaped drum portion 2.

As described above, by carrying out steps 1 to 6 in order, the obi can be tied on the wearer's back in a simple process without processing the obi 1 or using a temporary string that needs to be removed. Furthermore, by using the obi pillow holder 10 and the hanging fixing string 6, it is possible to form and fix the drum part 2 after forming the waist part 3 and fixing it with the obi fastener 4. Therefore, it is less time-consuming than the conventional method of forming the obi shape on the front side of the wearer and then moving it to the back side or using special auxiliary tools, and the obi shape is less likely to collapse, making it easier to maintain a good appearance.

In the above-mentioned embodiment 1, various examples of the outer shape of the sheet-like main body 101 of the bolster holder 10 are shown, but as shown in FIG. 15, the main body 101 can also be a ring-shaped body with a hole in the sheet surface. As an example, FIG. 15 shows a flat body 101 (see the left diagram of FIG. 15) having the same elliptical outer shape, and a ring-shaped body 101 (see the left diagram of FIG. 15) having a similar elliptical hole. In this case, the outer shape is not limited to an ellipse, and can be the various shapes mentioned above. In addition, the shape and size of the hole can be appropriately changed so as to obtain the desired flexibility and strength. Alternatively, a mesh-like sheet material can be used for the main body 101.

In the above embodiment 1, the main body 101 of the belt pillow holder 10 is generally in the form of a flat sheet, but the main body 101 may have a shape with a curved or bent portion in part. For example, the boundary portion may be preformed in a curved or bent shape so that the portion protruding from the waist wrapping portion 3 is inclined relative to the portion that is inside the waist wrapping portion 3. In that case, in the fourth step, a space is likely to be formed between the support portion 101a of the main body 101 and the back of the wearer, making it easier to hold the belt pillow 5 on the belt pillow holder 10 and position the belt peak 21 of the drum portion 2.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and can be applied to various embodiments without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

Claims (8)

A first step is to wrap a long obi (1) in a longitudinal direction (X) of the obi around the wearer's torso to form a waistband portion (3), leaving a first portion (11) on the hanging end side to form a drum portion (2) and wrapping a second portion (12) on the hand end side;
A second step of wrapping a belt fastener (4) around the waistband from the outside and around the waistband, and fastening the belt fastener on the front side of the wearer to fix the waistband;
A third step of arranging a belt bolster (5) inside the first portion to form a belt peak (21) of the drum portion;
a fourth step of positioning the belt peak so that the belt pillow is held between the belt pillow holder and the back of the wearer in a state where a part of the sheet-like belt pillow holder (10) is supported on the inside of the waistband part on the back side of the wearer and the remaining part protrudes toward the head side of the wearer;
a fifth step of arranging a hanging fixing string (6) inside the first part along the side edge of the waistband part on the side opposite to the side from which the belt pillow holder protrudes, folding up a part of the hanging end side of the hanging fixing string to determine the size of the drum part and form a hanging part (22) exposed from the drum part;
and a sixth step of tying the hanging fixing string around the wearer's torso to fix the drum part, and storing the hanging fixing string exposed on the front side of the wearer inside the waist wrapping part. In the third step, the belt pillow is placed inside the first part while being wrapped in an obiage (51);
