- ベースプレート部と、
前記ベースプレート部からセパレータ厚さ方向に突出するとともに、前記ベースプレート部の面方向に延在するシール用ビード部と、
を備えた燃料電池用金属セパレータであって、
前記シール用ビード部は、前記燃料電池用金属セパレータの平面視で湾曲した湾曲部と、前記湾曲部に隣接する直線部とを有し、前記湾曲部と前記直線部とが交互に複数個ずつ配置されることにより全体として多角形状に形成されており、前記湾曲部は前記多角形状の角部に相当する部分であり、前記直線部は前記多角形状の辺部に相当する部分であり、
前記湾曲部の曲率半径は、8.9mm~11.1mmであり、
前記湾曲部の角度は、60°~120°であり、
前記湾曲部の前記曲率半径と前記角度の組合せは、前記湾曲部の前記曲率半径をRとし、前記角度をθとしたとき、θ≦4.5e0.3R-4.5の関係式を満たす、燃料電池用金属セパレータ。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池用金属セパレータにおいて、
前記燃料電池用金属セパレータは、反応ガス又は冷却媒体を前記セパレータ厚さ方向に流すための連通孔を有し、
前記シール用ビード部は、前記連通孔を囲む連通孔ビード部である、燃料電池用金属セパレータ。 - 請求項2記載の燃料電池用金属セパレータにおいて、
前記直線部は、直線に沿って延在する波形状を有する、燃料電池用金属セパレータ。 - 電解質膜・電極構造体と、前記電解質膜・電極構造体に積層された金属セパレータとを備えた発電セルであって、
前記金属セパレータは、
ベースプレート部と、
前記ベースプレート部からセパレータ厚さ方向に突出するとともに、前記ベースプレート部の面に沿って延在するシール用ビード部と、を有し、
前記シール用ビード部は、前記金属セパレータの平面視で湾曲した湾曲部と、前記湾曲部に隣接する直線部とを有し、前記湾曲部と前記直線部とが交互に複数個ずつ配置されることにより全体として多角形状に形成されており、前記湾曲部は前記多角形状の角部に相当する部分であり、前記直線部は前記多角形状の辺部に相当する部分であり、
前記湾曲部の曲率半径は、8.9mm~11.1mmであり、
前記湾曲部の角度は、60°~120°であり、
前記湾曲部の前記曲率半径と前記角度の組合せは、前記湾曲部の前記曲率半径をRとし、前記角度をθとしたとき、θ≦4.5e0.3R-4.5の関係式を満たす、発電セル。
